That’s quite sad, but it is what it is.
Being a working mum is bloody hard.

I know this from both sides.

I hired working moms. 
My cofounder became a working mom one year into our business.
I myself became a working mom.

I could see the pressure back then.
Now I feel it myself.

And yet, the working mums I work with bring some of the strongest skills into any team:

Do you remember this ChatGPT phrase: “in a fast-paced, evolving environment”?

Turns out it is nothing compared to having a baby.

I swear to God, every week I have a new human.
Same baby. Same cute dimples…

BUT!

New skills. New needs. New rhythm.
Zero predictability.

So here is how I deal with it, without pretending I have a perfect routine.

1. I agreed with my priorities.
My priority is my baby. Full stop.
No inner negotiations. No guilt. No pretending.

2. I removed myself as a bottleneck.
Payments and invoicing, 
Project delivery,
New client outreach…
I’m struggling just with the content (God please help me find a designer for my carousels!! If you’re reading this - please tag someone you know who might help me out!)

3. I follow my daughter’s flow. And she follows mine.
I adapt to her rhythm.
In return, she trusts me.
We move together. Like a small startup learning in real time.

The funny part?
When you stop forcing control, the business does not fall apart.

January results:
– Signed two new clients: a B2B SaaS analytics company and an AI audio platform, both at scale-up stage with 100M+ revenue.
– Re-signed existing clients into new 2026 packages.

No perfect schedule.
No “having it all”.

Just a startup pace with a new MVP every week :)

TLDR: Next time you want to talk about “today’s fast-paced digital world” or “an ever-changing environment” – talk to a working mum. Plenty of insights guaranteed!!

This week, I saw exactly how a strong personal brand works in real life - not in theory:

Twice (!)

First.

I jumped on a discovery call with a potential client.
Inbound lead.

She told me she’d been following me for a long time.

The call felt warm from minute one.

We were aligned immediately. It felt like she already knew how I think, how I work, and what I stand for.

No awkward pitching was needed!

Second.

I reached out to a designer.
Cold message. She came recommended, but we had never spoken.

She replied instantly.

She knew my LinkedIn profile.
She mentioned my posts about moving countries.
About motherhood.

She’s fully booked. Still, she took on my socials project fast.

That’s the real power of personal brand.

Not likes.
Not vanity metrics.

Trust, before the first call.
Context, before the first message.
Preference, before the first pitch.

When you consistently share your story, your thinking, your experience, people don’t start from zero with you.

Actionable advice if you want this to work for you:

• Share what you’re learning, not only what you’ve “figured out”
• Repeat your core ideas until you’re bored. That’s when they start landing
• Mix professional insight with real life context. People buy from humans
• Write for the people you want to work with, not for everyone
• Be consistent. Personal brand compounds quietly, then pays loudly

You don’t build a personal brand for attention.
You build it so business feels easier.

Early last year, a 14-day self-care challenge doubled my profit. Here’s exactly what I did 👇

It started badly.
I booked fancy spas.
Meditation.
All the things self-care is supposed to look like.

But it didn’t work.

It still felt like work.
Another schedule to manage.

Then I realised the real issue:
I didn’t know what I wanted anymore.

Years of being deep in business does that.
You keep delivering, deciding, pushing.
At some point, you just lose the connection with your body and mind.

Big questions didn’t help.
“What do I want from life?” was paralysing.

So I simplified it.

Every morning, I wrote down 3 things I wanted today.
Not what I should do.
What I genuinely wanted.

Sometimes it was basic:
Good food. Fresh laundry. A proper walk.

Sometimes it was work:
Finish one task I cared about.
Focus instead of being available.

Then I did the key part:
I booked those 3 things into my calendar and built my day around them, instead of squeezing them in at the end.

Slowly, I reconnected with myself.
And then something unexpected happened.

I started working on my business because I wanted to.
Not because I had to.
Not to fit someone else’s idea of success.

I dropped things that looked impressive but felt heavy.
I leaned into work I genuinely loved.
And that work made more money.

Last year:
• I doubled my profit
• I reduced stress to the lowest level I’ve ever had
• I stopped growing for the sake of growth

No fancy office.
No “founder lifestyle”.
No performance success.

Self-care isn’t about spa days.
It’s about knowing yourself again.

If you feel disconnected, I genuinely recommend trying this:
Write 3 things you want today.
And book time for them.

Your business or career will feel it before you do.

Why we didn’t do 30–40% commission in 2025.
And why we won’t do it in 2026 either.

Because B2B influencer marketing isn’t performance ads.
It’s closer to PR.

A commission model sounds fair until you see what it rewards.
The higher the influencer fee, the more the agency earns.
That incentivises “spend bigger”, not “spend smarter”.

In B2B, that’s the wrong game. Why?

1. You’re not selling socks online. You’re building credibility with senior buyers, category experts, and hard-to-reach decision makers.
2. Results depend on quality of voice, industry fit, long lead-time trust building, and thought leadership alignment.
3. Many great voices in B2B aren’t transactional mega-influencers at all. They’re industry veterans, analysts, CEOs, authors, practitioners.

So the value isn’t media spend.
The value is the work before the spend:

• relationship building
• serious vetting and risk checks
• narrative design that lands with decision makers

How to test B2B influencers (and what it really costs)?

LinkedIn influencers aren’t cheap.
But going all-in on a big £100K campaign is risky.

So test first.
Just do it properly.

Pick one lane only. One ICP, one geography, one message.
