Every time you avoid posting about your work, you're training people to forget what you do.

Most advisers hate talking about themselves online.

I get it. 

It feels awkward. Boastful. Like you're showing off.

But the problem is, if you don't show up, someone else will.

And they'll attract the clients who should have found you.

1. Share a client story that shows the transformation. 
Talk about the problem they came to you with and what changed after working with you.

2. Explain something your clients always get wrong. 
The question they ask on every call. The mistake you see repeatedly. The thing they think is complicated but isn't.

3. Show them why you do this work. 
Not just what you do, but why you care about it.

The consultants and advisers who get this right aren't the ones posting the most.

They're the ones making it obvious how they help.

Your expertise is valuable.
But only if people know it exists!

Your content isn't boring. 

It just ignores how people make decisions in 2026.

Especially in professional services, where the default is still “sounding professional.”

Which usually means:

- A passive voice
- Meaty paragraphs
- A tone that sounds like it went through legal and HR

It all blends into one polite, forgettable blur.
And it's not how most people read anymore.

We’re scrolling, skimming, and half-paying attention.

We go for what's easier to process.

It's called cognitive fluency.

When something's easier to understand, we naturally view it as more credible and more intelligent.

Not less.

It's also why familiar voices feel more reliable.

They're not necessarily the smartest.
But they're consistent, recognisable, and easy to remember.

When your content is overly formal, sporadic, or changes tone every time, it doesn't make a strong impression.

It’s making no impression at all!

None of this means “dumb it down.”

It just means: 

- Say what you mean
- Say it clearly
- Say it often enough that people start to associate you with it

That's how you build a brand when everyone else is still writing like brochures.

4. The problem their clients don't even realise they have yet.

That's where the content lives.

My job isn't to make it sound pretty.

It's to:

- Recognise what's worth saying
