- Hired as the inaugural executive director to lead the organizational transformation of Jonathan Haidt’s Heterodox Academy from a passion project with 1 full-time employee to a 501c3 non-profit organization with 10 full-time staff members.
- Led strategic planning, roadmap development, ongoing program evaluation, staffing, and budgeting to advance the organizational mission of increasing open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement on college campuses and in academic disciplines.
- Built the entire operating infrastructure from scratch, including policies, processes, procedures, membership model, and accountability metrics to maximize productivity, improve collaboration, maintain cross-vertical alignment, eliminate gaps, maintain regulatory compliance, mitigate risk, and create change.
- Provided thought leadership through traditional media, digital media & events.
- Grew and engaged membership around organization’s values.
Prepared and managed a budget of $1MM in FY19 and $4MM in FY20, aligning resource allocation to strategic priorities.
- Established the organization’s first fundraising and development initiatives, securing $2.8MM in grant funding and cultivating relationships with philanthropic partners in the $10K-$250K annual range.

- Designed and led New Faculty Orientation, Junior Faculty Development, Mid-Career Faculty Development, Retirement Transition Planning programs for approximately 40 faculty and staff.
- Hosted weekly professional development lunches for junior faculty within their first two years to increase their sense of community on campus and provide direct mentorship and support.
- Co-designed a series of 4 sessions on retirement transition options to increase the number of phased retirement selections and enable the college to use those funds to hire new faculty members.
- Created a tool enabling the dean’s office to analyze leave and sabbatical eligibility and ensure adequate staff availability.

- Established the colleges’ first Office of Consortial Academic Collaboration, born out of the 5C Collaborations Project.
- Provided consulting to all 5 Claremont Colleges on strategic vision, project management, meeting convocation and facilitation, professional development, and procedural strategy to increase collaboration and curricular coherence.
- Led the development of a cross-campus data science curriculum, involving 50+ faculty members.

Founding Director - Office of Consortial Academic Collaboration

- Tapped to lead a 3-year, $330,000 grant-funded project bringing together the resources and expertise from all 5 Claremont Colleges to drive effective, efficient, sustainable, and enduring cross-campus academic collaborations.
- Developed the project roadmap by bringing together 290 faculty, administrators, and staff involved in 31 cross-campus collaborations to assess their needs, gather feedback, identify possibilities for new ventures, including creating new majors.
- Presented the project strategy and roadmap to Boards of Trustees to increase sponsor awareness and strengthen the buy-in of each trustee, the institutions they lead, and the consortium itself.
Designed a set of policies, procedures, processes, and resources to create transparency and alignment around coordinating, formalizing, structuring, and funding cross-campus collaboration.
- Created a course planning tool to encourage cross-campus enrollment and prevent cross-campus schedule collisions.
- Launched a message relay system providing stable, known, and institutionalized channels to share information about funding opportunities, professional development seminars, and major community events with all faculty and staff.
