The fact that he's launched this on TFL is DISGUSTING

If you take that money and invest it instead 

At 9% compound you would make 1.1 million in that time

Using this money they could buy the school

And charge double for the next generation of suckers

I make everyone in my team smoke a vape 

We recently had someone join that doesn't smoke

By the end of the day they were chugging away on a sour cherry ferocious bar

This might sound like madness

Why?

Because culture spreads fast

No matter what you write on the wall or say in the onboarding deck, people don’t copy instructions...

They copy behaviour.

If one person works late, others start staying too.

If one person cuts corners, standards drop overnight.

If one person’s fired up, the whole room starts to lift.

You don’t teach culture.
You breathe it.

So if you’re not careful about the air you create,
don’t be surprised when everyone starts inhaling the wrong thing.

I spent 39 minutes creating a CHATGPT Prompt and you can steal it....


When cold calling use AI to research your prospects 


My first prompt 

"Tell me about Michael Barrington who runs a recruitment firm in Warrington"

The answer was weak

I spent 5 minutes crafting the next prompt


"You are a witty investigative journalist who secretly loves recruitment gossip. Write a detailed, engaging, and slightly cheeky profile about Michael Barrington, who runs a recruitment firm in Warrington."

IT WASN'T DEEP ENOUGH

For the next 39 minutes I sat there, creating the perfect prompt to find out everything I knew about my dream customer...

It looked like this.....

 “Assume the role of a delightfully nosy raconteur, half philosopher, half gossip columnist, tasked with unearthing every sparkling detail about my dream customer’s life, habits, and unspoken motivations, as if penning a love letter to human psychology itself.”

The response?


Mate, chances are he won't pick up the phone...

Just ring him

I honestly just read the most stupid post on LinkedIn ....

Someone shared this picture and called out a VP of sales saying....

"Can you believe this guy's a VP of sales and he's rejected me"

WHERE IS THIS SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT FROM

If you work in sales your prospects owe you nothing

Even if they do have a team doing the exact same thing

This is where sales people go wrong 

They're attached
They react emotionally when rejected

Biting back at the prospect who in my opion was quite polite

They weren't rude yet the seller felt the need to snap at him

And also take it to social media calling him a clown

There's only one clown in this situation 

Your prospects owe you nothing

And even if a prospect is nasty or rude

Nothing is gained by wrestling a pig, you both get covered in mud but the pig likes it....

My mum bought new windows from the first company she spoke to



- She went online

- She found a company with good reviews 

- She made an enquiry

- They called her back within 15 minutes and had someone put the next day

- The guy turned up on time, asked good questions and had no level of pushy cliche sales

- She bought then and there

Now some people would say:

- Why didn't she shop around?
- Couldn't she get a cheaper price?
- You should never agree to the first offer

They made it easy for her...

Yes she wants new windows

But she wants someone she can trust not to do a bad job

Someone who turns up on time

Someone who's not going to pull the wool over her eyes

Sales isn't just selling a product

It's selling the journey

Anyway, if you want an easy sale call my mum

When cold calling and someone asks you to send them an email say this


"What's an email?"

They'll laugh
You'll laugh 

Then you'll say

"No seriously.... What's an email?"

They'll laugh again
You'll laugh with them

Then you'll say...

"I'm genuinely confused.... What is an email?"

They won't laugh
You won't laugh

It'll go silent and weird

"Do you genuinely not know what an email is?" They ask

"No"

Silence

"Ok... Should we sit down next week then?"

It works every single time

You couldn’t make this up.

Royal Mail’s CEO just got the official letter about their £21 million fine for delivering letters late.

The kicker?

The letter announcing the fine was sent first class back in February 2025… and only arrived last week.

By then, the daily fines had already started piling up.

Poetic justice  or just another example of what happens when a company forgets its own product promise?

Moral of the story:

Silence isn't rejection... sometimes it's just stuck in the post

I had the worst interview of my life the other day

I hopped on a teams call like always and let them in

I asked the generic questions
I asked for examples
I challenged them

They were nailing it - possibly the best candidate I'd ever met

Then I noticed them blinking heavily 

Was it a blink?

Or actually....

Was it a glitch?

Hmmm - was this person real?

I had to ask them a question only AI would know

I leaned forward, narrowed my eyes, and said:

“Okay… last question.”

They smiled confidently.

“What’s your favourite smell?”

There was a pause.


“I don’t have access to that data.”


It was CHAT GPT

Anyway,

It still turned up early, gave better answers than most salespeople, and didn’t ask about hybrid working.


So yeah.... I sent the offer letter anyway.

This week has been one of the craziest weeks at WHAM for a while

- Managing clients, winning new clients and looking after a team of 20

This isn't a whinge post it's just been ridiculously full on

One thing I consciously try to remind myself is not forgetting to smell the roses 

4 Years ago I was working a 20K a year sales job and had just handed in my notice to go all in with Zac Thompson at We Have a Meeting 

I would have given anything to be in this position now

Yet sometimes it can feel like it's normality

If you're in grind mode and you feel like you're not getting anywhere, just be patient
