Let me translate what you’re actually looking at.

HubSpot:
From ~$29 in 2014 to ~$371 today.
That is a 1,178% lifetime return.

Salesforce:
From ~$79 in 2015 to ~$260 today.
That is a 6,400% lifetime return.

Six.
Thousand.
Percent.

You don’t get those returns in “dying categories.” You get those returns in infrastructure layers.

And recite this with me: CRM is not software. CRM is the system of record for revenue.

It’s where:
-deals live
-pipeline lives
-forecasts live
-reps live
-managers live
-customer truth lives

Now let's talk numbers (and bring some sanity to the PEOPLE)
HubSpot just posted +20.87% YoY revenue growth.

THEY BEAT EARNINGS and THEY BEAT REVENUE PROJECTIONS
(Say it with me "HubSpot beat earnings, HubSpot beat earnings, HubSpot beat earnings.")

And the stock is down. Why??!???!?!??!?

Because Wall Street is DUMB drunk on one thing right now: AI cosplay.

If you don’t say “agent” every six seconds, the market assumes you’re a horse carriage company. 

MEANWHILE (in the real world) HubSpot is quietly doing the most important thing in SaaS: BECOMING the operating system for how businesses actually sell.

AI does not replace CRM. AI needs CRM.

The CRM is data gravity. Data gravity is what wins (AI is actually the easy part - you would know that if you ever ran a sales team before..)

You can’t build an AI GTM engine without a canonical system of record.

And guess what that system is.
It’s NOT your agent. It’s NOT your prompt. It’s for HELLo sure not your N8N/Zapier flow.

It’s Salesforce. It’s HubSpot. or Dynamics (I just threw up in my mouth, saying something good about Dynamics).

Always has been.

This market cycle is not “CRM vs AI.”

It is CRM becoming the control plane for AI.

The winners will be the platforms that:
OWN the data
OWN the workflows
OWN the permissions
OWN the revenue truth

AI will plug into them. NOT replace them.

So yeah - HubSpot beating revenue while the market shrugs is hilarious.

This is NOT a warning sign about "the end of CRMs"
That’s the market being blind AF

CRM ain’t going away, mofos. It’s just about to get smarter.

Over the last decade, I’ve had the privilege of working across a wide range of industries - from Travel and Hospitality to Retail and SaaS - tackling marketing challenges from every angle on some of the largest stages.

But no industry resonated with me quite like Travel and Hospitality.

I believe travel is good for the soul. It connects us, challenges us, and expands our perspectives. And generally speaking, people need more of it.

In 2021, on a road trip through Colorado, I stumbled upon beautiful local hotels with incredible charm but a noticeable gap in their branding and digital presence.

These were stunning properties, but they lacked the resources for in-house marketing and were overlooked by top-tier agencies.

I couldn’t get the idea out of my mind:

Could I build an agency dedicated to helping these hidden gems grow and share their stories with the world?

That idea stayed with me for years.

It wasn’t until a serendipitous conversation, with my now Co-Founders, that the vision for The Travel Foundry truly took shape. With 30 years of combined experience across market research, brand strategy, creative, and digital marketing - spanning both agency and in-house roles at one of the world’s leading luxury hotel brands - we realized our complimentary backgrounds were exactly what we needed to build something truly different.

So we set out to redefine what an agency could be.

An agency that’s lean, nimble, and purpose-driven. One that challenges the traditional agency model and truly serves the needs of Travel and Hospitality businesses.
