A little about me...

I'm an investor, entrepreneur, restaurant owner and explorer of 99 countries. I host the Try Life On Podcast, and coach professional 1:1 on wealth and freedom, helping you build lifestyle you don’t need vacation from.

In 2021 I retired from the 9-5 world after 25 years as Senior Executive at Accenture, a global consulting firm. Was also a Federal Agent through my US Air Force military service. I retired after 22 years as Lt. Colonel. And I became a midnight police officer later in life for the Montgomery County Police Department as a means to give back to local community. Yes, all at the same time.

Along with partners, founded Quattro Capital, a private equity firm. I’ve acquired roughly $250M in real estate with investor partners. I started buying real estate in my 20s as a means to capture time freedom to live more. 

I have strong passion for living life leveraging freedom principles (time, financial, location, purpose & relationships) and started Try Life On Media to help others do the same. The Try Life On podcast and speaking engagements are my joy. 

I love to say I used real estate, passive income, lifestyle design principles combined with leveraging my three 9-5 professional careers to beat the rat race and build lifestyle I don't need vacation from. I’ve completed that mission and now my passion is to help others do same.

From this data I was asked to draw inference about what drives customer satisfaction. Using Program R and Excel I analyzed the data and gave recommendations based on the departments previous interactions with clients.

When I was hired at Encore the first task I was given was to optimize the current SAS and VBA processes that ran every day. Within a month I reduced the amount of time it took to run both of these processes down from five hours a day to two hours a day saving the company time and money. This allowed me to take part in many projects including a project where I worked directly with IT, Account Management, Marketing and the CSS Project Manager. While working on this project I learned how to work with an interdisciplinary team and afterwards I was recruited by Account Management to work in a Temporary Work Assignment. During this assignment I evaluated many Ad Hoc requests for the Director of Marketing, identified compliance risks and managed my CSS responsibilities. Throughout this month my dedication was noticed and I was awarded June 2014 Consumer Support Services Contributor of the Month.

For the majority of my studies at UCSD I worked at Starbucks between twenty to thirty hours a week. Working at Starbucks taught me to manage my time and to maintain a positive attitude throughout the day. Within six months of getting hired my manager approached me about becoming a Shift Supervisor and I accepted. On top of my normal responsibilities I now needed to manage my baristas, keep track of the registrars, deposit money into the safe and maintain the cleanliness of the store.

Over the past decade I have taken my mathematics background and used it to build a reputation for solving problems. I've analyzed clinical trial data for a lab at UCSF, had an impact on business planning at Google, built workflows and QA'd data that impacted executive decisions.

Studying mathematics trained me to solve difficult problems and persevere through trials. The tenacity that math education built into me has driven me to new heights within the business world.
