I used to think AI was just about building models.

Train the algorithm. Get good accuracy. Ship it.

Then I watched my first production-ready model crash spectacularly.

The model worked perfectly in my Jupyter notebook.

In production? Complete disaster.

That failure taught me something most AI courses skip - 

The hard part isn't training models. It's making them work in the real world.

I spent the next few years learning the unglamorous parts of AI engineering.

The stuff that doesn't make it into Medium articles but makes the difference between a demo and a product.

But here's what surprised me: The technical gap wasn't the only problem.

I kept seeing the same pattern: Smart teams. Good ideas. But stuck in endless planning cycles.
