visibility on LinkedIn has changed my career 

there is a lot of advice out there about the algorithm, when and what to post, to link in the post or the comments, images vs video vs text only vs vs vs vs…

but at the end of the day I REALLY strongly believe that the key to all of this is consistency + humanity + helping others 

talk to Ai and use it to help you figure out what to say but write in your own words, even if it’s a lil messy 

make people smile, reflect or teach them something that will help them in their life or career 

and post enough that you’ll show up on someone’s feed more than once so they give you a follow 

if it sounds simple it’s because it is, and it’s what has worked for me!

LinkedIn has helped me land my last 3 roles, earn some very helpful side income through brand partnerships, career coaching and ghost writing gigs, and brought me so many wonderful new connections 

overall I really enjoy creating here and look forward to continuing to share my life, musings and work with yall

It’s absolutely crazy what’s possible when you get out of your own way. 



SO much of what we “can’t” accomplish is in the mind 

I started running more consistently a few months ago because I was really tired of the “I suck at this” internal monologue

I’d run 3kms, get winded, and sulk 

until one day I realized that sulking is for quitters and my 4 year old 

EVERYONE has been a beginner/sucked at something no matter what LinkedIn leads you to believe 

And being a beginner can be really beautiful 

It improves your resilience, grit and humility 

It pushes you out of your comfort zone

And if you stick with it for long enough, it turns into confidence and conviction 

Yeaterday I ran over 7kms for the first time in 15 YEARS 

I was SLOW, but I didn’t give up, and the only reason I didn’t go further is I had to be home for bed time 😂

GO DO SOMETHING (PHYSICAL) THAT YOU SUCK AT TODAY! 

Then keep doing it until it turns into a strength vs a weakness

I wrote a Reddit post 7 days ago. It has a 96 influence score and ~90 citations across AI answers.

Here’s why Reddit works this fast:

Nothing says “we don’t give one single f**k about our customers” quite like…


a brand-owned and moderated subreddit full of unanswered questions and a dormant mod account with your company name in it.


This is literally happening with one of our biggest competitors right now 🙊

They have a branded sub with official mod accounts and people DO post in there (albeit infrequently) but it’s a ghost town 

SUCH. A. BAD. LOOK. 

Folks if you’re going to own a subreddit, here’s the minimum viable effort:

- Answer every post within 24 hours. Even just to acknowledge it.

- Use social listening to identify what the community is saying about your brand, then use that intel to create meaningful content for your sub 

- Create space for honest feedback. If a negative post goes up, don’t delete it. Acknowledge with empathy and work in public to find a solution. 

- Host events. AMAs are perfect for this. (r/UseApolloIo’s first one is February 24th 😘) 

- Let the community be a little messy. That’s what makes it credible on Reddit.

Reddit threads get indexed on Google and ingested by AI. 

They show up every time someone searches your brand looking for real opinions before they ever talk to your sales team.

A subreddit with 200 engaged members who trust you is worth more than 2,000 watching tumbleweeds.

If you’re not going to run it, don’t create it.

here’s what makes this wild to me personally.

i work for an ai company. 
i get trained on this constantly. 
i am surrounded by people who breathe this stuff every single day. i open linkedin some mornings and genuinely feel like i missed 47 developments while i was packing school lunches.

if that’s me i CANNOT IMAGINE what it feels like to be a mom who keeps hearing “ai is changing everything” and has absolutely no idea where to start or why it even matters for her tuesday🫠

What’s even crazier is parents are nearly twice as likely to adopt ai once someone actually shows them how. 

So, I’m gonna do something about it! I’m putting together a little “Ai for moms” series on my Insta.

Things like 

- meal plan your entire week in under 3 minutes
- build a family command center that runs itself
- write every awkward email you’ve been avoiding for two weeks
- plan a family trip without wanting to cry
- actually reduce your mental load (this one changed my life)

the millennial mom is not behind. she’s just been left out of the conversation.

Time to fix that ❤️ onward.

reddit is criminally underrated for B2B community building. here's proof.


last month we hosted an AMA on r/UseApolloIo with Zack Deris (founder of ZDTS, built $750K in new business using Apollo) and it became the #1 post of all time in our subreddit!

(shameless plug for r/UseApolloIo)

6,600 views. 92 new members in a single day. 96.8% upvote ratio.

here's what made it work:

1️⃣ lead with a practitioner, not your brand 
we handed Zack the mic and let him answer questions live! practitioners get trust that brand accounts have to earn. find your power users and get out of their way.

2️⃣ seed the thread before it goes live 
we posted the AMA prompt a week early so people could drop questions ahead of time. by the time Zack showed up, there was already a queue. cold AMAs flop. warm ones don't.

3️⃣ let the questions tell you what people actually care about 
top voted question: exact filter path for verified emails in Apollo + does it actually reduce bounce rates, NOT a vague "how do i do outbound." reddit pulls out the real questions aka the ones your FAQ page doesn't answer.

4️⃣ the subreddit matters more than the post 
this AMA drove 92 new members in one day. they came for the post but they stuck around because they found a community worth joining. the AMA was the hook but the subreddit was the destination!

if you're in B2B and not building on reddit, you're sleeping on an audience that's already looking for answers your brand could be giving them.
