I finally had a chance to talk to the GOAT of ecommerce SEO - Sam Wright - last week. One thing really stood out: Ecommerce SEO pros might be ahead of the game compared to B2B SEO pros. 

In the B2B world, we solve for the content problem: let me rank for X keywords. In ecommerce, the goal is to solve the data problem with a relentless focus on data.

So my goal for 2026 is to think like an ecommerce SEO pro. This means:

-Adding structured data for products
-Mimic the "long tail" dominance of Amazon's for B2B use cases by making sure there are always dedicated integration pages (Your Software + partner software)
-Target every single use case for audiences. Ex: Accounting Automation for Dental Practices using QuickBooks.
-Go all in on comparison content by putting comparison tables directly in solutions/features pages instead of the blog. LLMs love extracting data from tables to build their own comparison answers.

Sam seriously knows his stuff. I'm excited to do these things and see how they can affect SEO/AI SEO performance in 2026.
