I had the opportunity to work with Union Pacific's intermodal marketing and business development team on several marketing projects during the summer of 2013 through a paid internship. Though my account-base varied due to numerous department-wide restructuring efforts, my book of business peaked at $20,000 in monthly revenues. I also had the opportunity to shadow and learn from my territory partner, who worked with large technology corporations. Now that enrichment is free in HubSpot again, you might be wondering how you can enrich your entire database.

And if you've tried it, you know it's not super intuitive.

In your settings, you can ensure all new contacts & companies get enriched, but what about the ones already in your HubSpot?

From an index page, you can enrich records in bulk, but only one page at a time.

But there ARE two ways you can enrich the entire database:

Option 1: Create a segment of all contacts (and/or companies) using the filter Record ID is known.  Open the segment, click Actions in the top right, then click "enrich segment".

Option 2: Create a workflow that will enroll all contacts (and/or companies) using the trigger of Record ID is known. Add an enrichment step to the workflow. Turn the workflow on and select the option to enroll all records that meet the trigger criteria.

I love how HubSpot's custom-coded workflow actions turn "you can't do that" into "here you go". Two recent examples:

A workflow that adds contacts to different HeyReach campaigns depending on how they've interacted with us, so we can make sure we're connecting with them on LinkedIn too.

A workflow that spits out the next pay date for a commission custom object (if the commission is earned between the first and the 15th, the pay date is the last day of the month, otherwise it's the 15th of the following month).
