The World Bank relied on my division to ensure that its staff worldwide had instant access to the absolute top skills development resources as well as information on the economic, political, social, and technological issues so critical to the Bank's international development agenda. 

The innovative knowledge transfer approach we created began with a specialized library on technology and knowledge management topics that was rivaled on the East Coast only by Bell Labs. 

Our knowledge transfer systems were so well designed that they are still in place with updates as technology has changed. 

Our work made a signal and essential contribution to The World Bank's success. Looking back, that success came from a combination of:  

-- Holding to the highest standards, even when they did not seem achievable given current technology.  
-- Pursuit of all relevant theoretical and experiential knowledge;
