I don’t need to sell or promote the products directly on my social as I work with an automated selling system and use a range of different automated advertising and marketing techniques to sell in the background. 

My business “shop front” is entirely my own personal brand and message. I basically make money creating content and being me. 😮‍💨❤️ All of the sales are done in the background of my social pages. 

I also help others build their own online businesses with this very same model I follow, and the beauty is that there is no competition or saturation because personal brands cannot be competed against.

I was recruited by this $4.5M privately held machine and tool company. Simson Products manufactures high-quality aluminum and plastic composites for such customers as GE, Parker-Hannifin, Mirion, Harmon, and Hitachi. Employee headcount has ranged from 13–25+; I manage 4 direct reports.

Key areas of oversight:

* Supply Chain Management ... Established international and domestic (local/intra/interstate) logistics operation to optimize business operations. Expedite/optimize flow of materials as Senior Schedule Analyst.
* Quality Assurance … As QC Analyst, ensure best practices are used for external processes and in final, high-tolerance inspection of finished products. 
* Procurement … Instituted efficient purchasing practices; manage purchase orders as well as oversee shipping and receiving.

Select contributions:

* Delivered 14% after-tax return on profit while proactively navigating adjustment to projected manufacturing downturn ($5.5M to $4.5M in revenues) through implementation of measures to streamline operations and downsize headcount—while simultaneously turning around morale.
* Significantly reduced penalties for shipping/quality control issues—from average of $50K+/annually to zero—as result of new quality assurance measures.
* Implemented overhaul of shipping, receiving, and deburring areas to create more efficient throughput; maintained consistent production levels throughout downsizing.

Leveraging strong engineering, design, project management, and construction background, I established a thriving home improvement business. My clients were primarily with high net worth individuals in Simsbury, Farmington, Avon, West Hartford, and Wallingford.

* Partnered with electrician: Built talented team of tradesmen (subcontractors) to execute renovation projects (interior/exterior) valued up to $100K. Managed sales and development of designs, plans, and quotes.
* Attained AAA+ rating (Better Business Bureau); grew business exclusively through customer referrals.
* Transitioned book of business (repeat client base of 65+) in successful sale of company in 2010.

ALUMINUM FINISHING COMPANY

I was hired to turn around sluggish operations of a $2.3M privately held chemical plating company. Some of our strategic accounts included Hamilton Standard, DuPont, and United Technologies. I was also tasked to manage a major relocation of all operations.

Select highlights:

* Managed P&L, sales, accounts receivable/payable, safety training, quality assurance, reporting (hazardous chemicals/wastewater), and OSHA/DEEP/EPA inspections. 
* Oversaw 3 department heads/38 employees.
*Spearheaded relocation of entire facility (to respond to eminent domain possession: I-95 construction). 
- Managed complex project requirements—from identifying appropriate location and securing zoning permits (getting approval for commercial to industrial rezoning) to gaining EPA/DEEP approvals.
- Assembled team and garnered executive leadership project approval.  
- Oversaw $4.4M renovations to 30,000 sq.ft. building to create state-of-the-art facility.
- Brought project to fruition (addressed $25K core testing requirement, managed cleaning of brownfields, attained clean testing results) and secured $1.4M loan for final renovations. 
- Relocated to new facility in 8 mos. while rejuvenating sales performance (grew revenues $1.6M to $2.3M).
* Within first 2 months in position, negotiated reduction in $35K EPA hazardous waste penalty to $10K.
* Transformed engineering organization and developed long-term road map for continued business operations.
* Interacted extensively with various municipal agents and state/federal agencies and fire marshal.

YALE NEW HAVEN HOSPITAL / MARRIOTT CORPORATION

When I was hired by Marriott, the company was at risk for losing this $12.5M account. I was challenged to turn around the underperforming food services system within the largest cafeteria facility at Yale New Haven Hospital. Not only was I successful in restoring trust and optimizing operations (accomplished within 6 months), I was promoted to manage 3 auxiliary cafeteria operations/catering/vending throughout the hospital campus in addition to the main cafeteria.

Key achievements:

* Catapulted performance of business unit—becoming the #1 food service program in the country for Marriott on overall performance/numbers.
* Developed budgets of up to $6M and effectively managed 12 direct/75 indirect reports (union members). 
* Instituted labor and product cost analysis/control policies. 
* Project-managed 3 major renovations/new construction including 150-seat Atrium Café ($700K annual volume), 100-seat cafeteria ($1.3M annual volume), and 550-seat East Pavilion dining area ($3.0M annual volume).
* Assisted Marriott in establishing retail, marketing, and safety programs in other hospitals in the Northeast Region.
* Held ServSafe® certifications.
* Recipient, Marriott’s Outstanding Retail Operations Award (1988).

I quickly turned around operations, instituted best practices throughout the organization, and improved performance, revenues, and margin — ultimately promoted to manage 4 dining facilities generating >$3.5M in annual volume.
* At Simson, I have been instrumental in streamlining operations and downsizing headcount to proactively adapt to projected manufacturing downturn from $5.5M to $4.5M in revenues, thus maintaining a 14% after-tax return on profit. Simultaneously turned around morale. 
* As General Manager with Aluminum Finishing, I spearheaded a complex industrial facility relocation, accomplishing everything from zoning change and permitting to remediation and reestablishing operations in less than 1 year while growing revenues by more than 50%.

I am a “fixer” — with a solid track record of consistently turning around and optimizing underperforming operations. I’m recognized for keen listening skills and my tenacity — “can’t” is not in my vocabulary.
