📌I was born and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 
When I turned 20, I  landed a job in The Green Zone in Baghdad, Iraq. 

📌I spent 4 years there working to put myself into school and move to the USA. 
The contract called for 84 hours/week. It was a blast - literally! 

📌While in Baghdad, I worked at the New Embassy Compound (NEC), the largest US Embassy in the world.

📌I moved to the States in 2011 and first lived in Honolulu. I moved to Norfolk, VA, in 2019 and shortly after I resided in the beautiful MD - DMV area. I am currently located in Orlando, FL. 

📌I was brave enough to start my own business in the summer of 2022, and I honestly can say I live the "American Dream."

Skillbridge Intern

United States Air Force

Greeted customers in person and on the phone with a positive attitude and active listening skills. Handled a multi-line phone system, transferred calls, maintained paper and digital files for 11,000 personnel, conducted treatment eligibility, typed memorandums, completed 2 annual inventories, mailed 300 records to appropriate bases, validated armed competency for 407 Security Forces members.  Trained 5 Airmen on 100 tasks for Front Desk training and enabled 95% end of course test scores and completed training requirements 6 months early.  Selected as Military Health System Super User and trained 53 personnel.  Provided management in the execution of 15,000 clinic appointments and totaling in $6.3 million in productivity/services.

Records and Reception Manager

Assisted the Command Chief, managed logistic support and schedule, acted as a liaison for Joint Services and host nation. Acted as a critical communication conduit between staff for Enlisted matters.  Coordinated with 4 Groups, 16 Wing Staff Agencies, 31 Joint Coalition Units with 38 allied nations, and supported 9,000 personnel, Collaborated with 76 Enlisted Leaders. Fueled Wing professional development program, worked with 9 executive committees for charter by-laws, promoted diversity and inclusion, fostered morale and coined by Wing Commander.  Orchestrated 9/11 memorial to commemorate 20-year anniversary.

Command Chief Executive during Operation Allies Refuge

Gathered information and documentation from clients, conducted research on immigration policies and programs, reviewed all documents to ensure they were accurate and met government requirements, ensured that deadlines were met, tracked the status of each application and kept clients updated.  Processed 2,700 flights with 18,200 personnel and 828 air crews.  Built rapport with Qatari Immigration Officials.  Prevented 13 deportations and saved $98,000 in fines.

Host Nation Coordination Cell: Immigration/Emigration Manager

Led Infection Control; enforced standards for 55 members, trained 5 cadre, performed maintenance for $36,000 in equipment. Executed 432 training tasks for 7 trainees with 100% end of course pass rate. Sterilized 605 loads/15,000 kits, completed 334 washer tests, with no dental mishaps and zero health acquired infections. Oversaw 406 dental treatment room inspections with a 98% pass rate.  Passed The Joint Commission Inspection.

Infection Control Manager/Instrument Processing Center Supervisor

Initiated continuous process improvement by creating binder and training tracker. Reviewed and updated skills for 68 personnel. Facilitated training curriculum and calendar.  Enhanced employee development.  Certified 444 course hours. Upheld upgrade training requirements and increased them by 33%.  Increased Air Force training compliance by 21% and reduced core task completon by 2 months.

Education And Training Manager

Answered phone calls and redirected them when necessary.  Managed daily, weekly, and monthly agendas.  Coordinated meetings and provided support to the Commander. Prepared and disseminated correspondence, memos, and forms. Launched a quality control review process of two checklists, which led to a smooth transition for 11 personnel. Ensured completion of 82 appointment letters.

Commander's Secretary

Motivated 8,500 Non Prior Service (NPS)  Airmen to develop positive military attitudes, effective human relations, and social skills for improving interpersonal and military relations. Assisted NPS Airmen in their personal adjustment to military life by learning dress and personal appearance, individual differences, suicide awareness, human relations, counseling techniques, staff referral agencies, the communicative process, and voice characteristics. Performed Airman Management and Drill. Led 1,100 Airman Formations and taught Dormitory Standards, 3,147 Airmen.  Provided Counseling, Discipline and Guidance, Physical Training, Human Behavior, First Aid, and Airman Status Management.  Guided 900 Airmen in through their permanent change of station actions and achieved a 99% on-line departure rate, saving $90,000 in travel costs. Single-handedly oversaw 363 Airmen during night shift operations for 6 months.

Military Training Leader 

Managed 6 prophylaxis technicians and oversaw quality assurance program, Directed high caries risk program, tracked 5,100 patients and educated patients on oral hygiene instructions. Performed 1,200 cleanings and provided $382,000 in services.  Educated 50 First Term Airmen on Dental appointments and ensured 98% Dental Readiness rate.

Preventive Dentistry Manager/Oral Prophylaxis Technician

I was the primary section for the Defense Medical Human Resources System Internet Monitor. I audited 4.932 time sheets, encompassing over 630,000 man hours.  I enabled management a view of a 30% manning shortage.  Ensured 100% compliance of timecard submission on time.

Timekeeper

Scheduled Military members civilian sector care referral appointments, developed healthy relationships with Civilian Providers and Staff, requested treatment notes, and updated patient records.  Orchestrated off base referral data system and reviewed 720 records for accuracy.  Created database, updated 500 patients' records, enhanced dental record filing approach by adding color coordinated tabs to easily identify record, and increased referral annotation by 90%.

Active Duty Dental Program Manager

Assembled dental kits, surgery kits, and instruments for use.  Prepared instruments and supplies through cleaning, packaging, sterilizing, and storing procedures.  Conducted on the job training for new employees. Performed 91 dental treatment room inspections.  Followed all infection control procedures and adhered to all OSHA requirements. Received "Excellent" rating on Health Services Inspection.

Lead Central Sterile Supervisor/Infection Control Manager

Promoted dental health by completing dental prophylaxis (cleaning), charting conditions of decay and disease, administered x-rays, maintained dental instruments by sharpening and selecting proper instruments, and selected materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient's oral health.  Documented dental hygiene services by recording vital signs and medical & dental histories.  Maintained patient confidence and protected operations by keeping information confidential and complying to HIPAA standards. Educated patients by giving oral hygiene instructions.  Called, scheduled, and sent patient reminders of appointment date and time.

Oral Prophylaxis Technician

Assisted a total of 15 Dentists with four-handed dentistry during this time period.  Ensured compliance with HIPAA. Prepared dental treatment rooms, ordered weekly supplies, performed quality control procedures, monitored administrative accuracy of 5,000 dental records annually, administered dental x-rays, took and recorded vitals, tracked dental lab cases, ensured patient comfortability, kept work space clean, adhered to infection control guidelines, and ensured OSHA compliance.  I mentored 5 students from Valdosta Technical College.
