Week 2 of full time freelancing and I've been interviewed on the TV, for online and on the radio. Introverted me has hated every second of it, but that little extrovert that sits in there has loved it 😏

I've been speaking on the topic of side hustles.

My story has been contrast against the kid who earned more dressing up as Spiderman than he did at his supermarket job. 

The angle with my story (marketer by day, pet sitter by lunch hour), has been very much a positive spin on the fact that most side hustles are a result of poor salaries and cost of living.  Mine was about a bit more variety, or as I was quoted "to spice things up" 😆

And pet sitting isn't my only side hustle - also content creator and shopkeep (of my partners store). 

Anyway, they say you gotta get yourself out there... build up a personal brand.

Freelance Marketer, Editor & CRM’er 💥 Turning content, social & CRM into real growth (not just vanity metrics)

This weekend sees Danny Windsor launch the Spring/Summer edition of his shop down at the Folkestone Harbour Arm Market 😱

Being down there for Christmas was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed my fair share of shifts getting to play shop and talk him up as the artist. It went really well, so he's back 😎

He's put in a lot of time, effort, thinking and craft into new and improved offerings - there's something for everyone, whether you're a Folkesotne local or passer-througher.

I'll be helping out over various weekends over the Spring and Summer, so if you're down that way, do pop in and say hello to either of us.

One of the projects behind the scenes at Hobbs Parker has been helping shape what is now called "Ashford Spaces".

From developing the name and small business marketing plan through to getting the website live and advertised with local directories and businesses, it’s been a satisfying mini project to work on.

Ashford Spaces offers a range of flexible rooms and hall space in Ashford for meetings, training, workshops, classes and community events. The new website makes it easy to see what’s available and enquire about bookings.

The one-pager site itself looks slick. Ben Leah put that together like a machine.

They’ve also put together some excellent catering packages, which makes it a practical option if you’re hosting training sessions, networking events or group meetings.
