I was fortunate enough to experience an amazing and complex project entirely in Puerto Rico.

Not only it was a very complex large scale project, that it taught me a lot about management of projects, tasks and teams, which was a lot of what I was already doing these past few years, but also it showed me different cultures, and how to handle different people from different cultures throughout projects.

Ever since I was a kid. Little did I know it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. 
So that’s when it all changed and my journey really began.

Hi, my name is Ely, and it all started in 2017..

I decided to leave a career of almost 10 years working for corporate.

I travelled all across the globe working for big time worldwide companies.

Perhaps you might know Jonhson & Johnson or MARS? 

Well, if you don’t know them, I’m 100% sure you consumed at least one of their products in your lifetime.

Either way, I was there as an IT Project Manager because I always loved tech.

But the problem was: I also loved entrepreneurship. And I’ve always had a natural talent for sales too - I loved selling stuff to my friends when I was a kid.

But my career in IT didn’t enable me to develop these skills much.

So that’s when I met Marketing. And it just clicked. So then, I planned to leave my job in 2017.

And that’s what I did. 

When I embarked this journey, I decided I wanted to combine two of my passions: marketing and tech, and it just made total sense.

Considering my background of 10+ years working with IT, I think it made me a good fit for that!

And so, I've been impacting consumers and companies worldwide ever since.

Kathleen is a Production Designer, Set Designer, Art Director and Stylist at KLAD. Recent and current projects include the new musical comedy “Legacy Falls” at NYMF (and currently in development), television set designs for corporate clients, and a ballet. Kathleen is a part of the producing team that has brought A Christmas Story; The Musical to Broadway, Madison Square Garden and on tour. She created the look for the numbers 1 through 10 for Sesame Street, the SyFy Channel series Exposure starring Lisa Marie, and The Forensics of Terror for the Discovery Channel.

Other clients and design projects include HBO, the US Navy, the Department of Defense, A&E, MTV, Lucent, General Motors, PBS, the USA Network, the Montclair Center Stage, and commercials too numerous to list.

I am most alive when I work with clients to tell their story or compose it with them. Our clients are usually astounded at our ability to deliver not just what they want, but what they had no idea they really wanted.

I relish the research process, creating a vision, designing, and then finding all the objects and details that give my vision life, finally orchestrating them to elicit that emotion our client wants their audience to feel. 

I excel at the detailed project management required to choreograph an event, no matter the deadlines, no matter the obstacles. On time, on budget and on point.

Many of the events we witness feel very 2-dimensional to us, lack soul and depth and do not create a connection with the audience. I have to ask: How much higher would your event ROI be if you were able to create more emotional resonance with your audience?

Through my work in theater I have developed the skill to create a scene, with atmosphere and emotion, within tight budgetary, space and time constraints. It is that ability that brings dimension, depth and drama to the experiences we create.

In addition to designing events, experiences and sets, I provide consulting on specific aspects of TV, film, theater and events such as lighting, make-up, wardrobe. I’ve taught at Montclair State University, sit on the board of the Seton Hall Stillman School of Business, and mentor young professionals in the field of TV, film and theater.

When I am not designing memorable events, you can find me in my studio enjoying photography, jewelry making, or blending perfumes.
