Senior Manager

Yorck von Niessen is a senior director with 25 years of experience in Business, Digital & Technology Transformation, with strong industry expertise in the Telco, High Tech and Retail industries. He has a proven track record of successfully delivering large scale transformation programs (~1.000 employees, x00m € project volume).

Before taking on his current position @ Wipro, Yorck served as a senior account & delivery director @ Accenture (19 yrs) and @ NetCracker (5 yrs). He has been responsible for the entire portfolio of delivery services (sales, delivery, financials, customer satisfaction) at strategic client accounts. Additionally he took the opportunity of leading large scale Business & Digital Transformation, Agile Transformation and Post Merger Integration programs to success for industry leading clients, like Deutsche Telekom, UnityMedia, Telenet, Virgin Media O2. 

His responsibilities at leading these global clients allowed Yorck to develop a deep understanding of  large scale Business Transformation, Black Belt Delivery Management, Operational Excellence, and Sales & Account Management.  His relentless focus on client needs, his talent for building and empowering high-performance teams working with leading edge technology and his thrive for analyzing and resolving complex challenges are key elements for the high-quality results he achieved for his clients.

Bringing his extensive experience to Wipro, Yorck now serves as General Manager and Senior Program Director focusing on Program Audit & Recovery and Operational Excellence for some of Wipro’s largest and most complex programs in Europe serving clients like Metro with a scope of application development & maintenance, infrastructure services and cloud transformation. 

On top of his professional work, Mr. von Niessen engages in community-based programs and philanthropic activities at the local service club of Rotary International which he joined in 2009. He studied history in addition to his job as a consultant @ Accenture and has a strong interest in the arts building up a small art collection of native African art. He enjoys outdoor expeditions, mountain activities and spending time with his son, Carl. 

He earned his Diploma in Business Administration (Diplom Kaufmann - MBA) from the LMU University of Munich in 1998 (cum laude), passed the final exams at Ecole Superieure de Commerce ESC Brest, France in 1995 and earned a pre-degree in history and philosophy at the University of Frankfurt (magna cum laude) in 2002.
