In 2018, work wasn't working for me, so I broke it and methodically designed a new life with intention.
I used my job as an investor in my future. I figured out my advantages and then built a side business that I took to full time corporate exit, then scaled to over $1m in revenue.

I built an entire process to help me figure out my re-invented career and now I use that to help other corporate pros smartly build futures that are Self-Directed, intentional and successful - that is my purpose.

Results consist of bringing on new advisory account relationships from competitor firms, converting transactional brokerage accounts to advisory solutions, and providing product expertise and support. Consistently achieved greater than 100% of annual sales goals.

Recruiting: Regularly involved in recruiting Advisors, practice assessment, discussing incentive packages, home office visits, and Advisor team onboarding. Examples include recruiting three large Advisor teams to Truist Wealth totaling $8mm in revenue.

Responsible for growing TIAA mutual fund and annuity assets under management throughout the Southeast region. Supported the adoption and retention of TIAA institutional asset management strategies. 

-Managed the sales pipeline in conjunction with colleagues from Asset Management, Pension Product, Relationship Management and Marketing.

-Conducted strategic reviews and identified opportunities using techniques from the Miller Heiman Strategic Selling process.

-Routinely traveled and delivered presentations on TIAA investment solutions.

-As a subject matter expert, provided input for RFP’s and retirement plan reviews as needed.

Wells Fargo

Charged with raising $2 billion in sales into the fee based advisory platforms with Wells Fargo Financial Advisors in North and South Carolina.  Aligned with Regional and Branch management to plan sales meetings, and assist with Financial Advisor recruiting and training initiatives.  

   •Achieved top 25% total fee based advisory platform sales in the company. Led Financial Advisors to convert assets to fee based advisory platforms by creating target client lists, analyzing investment portfolios, education on platform options, and developing sales proposals. 
 
   •Introduced New Technology Tools by coaching Advisors on Wells Fargo’s Envision financial planning tool and conducting training workshops.  Product knowledge consists of Monte Carlo simulation, capital market assumptions, budgeting and forecasting.  Rank #1 out of 28 in sales force for total workshops completed.  

   •Exceeded management’s target goal of 70% Advisor program enrollment, by influencing over 80% of Financial Advisors to register in the Fronting Fees sales program.  Recognized as top 5 in sales force to achieve this level.

Promoted to rapidly increase sales into Columbia mutual funds, separate accounts, and 529 Plans with Financial 
Advisors in the Broker Dealer Wirehouse Territory covering the Pacific Northwest (WA, OR, ID, AK). 
 
   •Generated over $275mm in sales by maintaining existing Financial Advisor relationships, partnering with high producing Advisors, uncovering new business opportunities and delivering client sales ideas.  

   •Increased territory rank from #26 to #15 out of 28 in one year without any existing relationships, achieving the largest percentage increase of any territory within the broker dealer wire house channel at 47%

   •Created a manageable territory travel rotation, leveraging technology for calendaring and contact management.

   •Top 5 of over 50 sales people in new fund sales by presenting new products available with Columbia Management’s acquisition of Excelsior Funds to Financial Advisors.

With two decades in financial services and a personal story of overcoming adversity, my mission is to inspire others to achieve success with purpose and impact.

Background:
The odds were stacked against me:

-Grew up in a paycheck-to-paycheck family
-Lost my mom to suicide before my 1st birthday
-Lived alone at 17 years old
-Involved in a tragic accident that took a man’s life

These challenges fueled my purpose, leading me to become a first-generation college graduate, achieve 20+ years of sales success, and now help others transform their lives through speaking and coaching.

In my free time you’ll find me playing basketball, volunteering, or with my family.
