Here is what I have learned in all my years working in marketing: If one thing can make your brand more relatable to other humans, it's telling stories.

Hi, my name is Michael, and I am on a journey to help others make their marketing more human by telling authentic stories that help solve problems and inspire humans to connect with them.

This came after a nearly 20-year-long career with one of the largest recruitment companies in the world, where I held several marketing leadership roles.

After that, I ran my own solopreneur business for two years before I joined a Fintech company to run their Global Brands and Comms department.

I am now fortunate to work for Randstad Sourceright, the world's leading partner for talent, where I help our clients to develop  recruitment marketing strategies that connect them with the best talent in their industries.

Over the years, I lived in Switzerland and Australia before moving back to my hometown, Hamburg, where I enjoy time with friends and my daughter, a good game of football, or reading a great book.

I am driven by sharing stories openly and honestly with others. It's the best way to connect with other humans, and the one thing I enjoy most is precisely this: connection.

My superpower has always been in listening, encouraging, and acknowledging the skills and strengths of colleagues, leaders, friends, family and even people who wait on me at Starbucks. 

My earliest coach training was in elementary school where I was an advice columnist for the school newspaper. My listening and observation skills were sharpened in my role as the middle child in a family with eight kids. 

I was promoted to a leadership role early in my career and did extensive college recruiting. I interviewed hundreds of potential new college graduates for our leadership training program. I was skilled at seeing people’s natural strengths and that talent launched my lifelong passion for career coaching/mentoring.

As a sales manager, I continued to recruit and interview for sales executives and sales support roles. I coached many people on how to navigate the issue of creating balance between work and their outside life. 
I saw firsthand how personal issues directly impacted productivity, attitude, mindset, happiness and job/life satisfaction. I found myself leading with a coaching mindset and asking questions to help people identify what was important in their lives.

The decision to study and obtain a coaching certification was a natural step in my desire to use my talents. It is an honor and a privilege to work with people to create meaningful outcomes for their lives. There is such joy in seeing the changes in their energy, attitude, and happiness levels when we work together.

My specialty is working with people in any type of career and/or life transitions – Typically they -
•	Are overwhelmed and scared about making a career change 
•	Are unsure about how or what to do getting started in a job search 
•	Are a new or recent college graduate and struggling to figure out a direction
•	Haven’t looked for a job in many years 
•	Have worked at the same company for 10+ years and want to leave 
•	Feel stuck or paralyzed in their current job or life situation but can’t see options
•	Feel stressed and are lacking purpose or direction in life – thanks ….covid!!!
My favorite part of coaching is when I see the light and energy come back into a client.
