As part of multiple of the most demanding software agencies (A.Team, Braintrust, Toptal etc.) I help clients solve their technical and non-technical challenges to get their project moving forward. These are the most common roles I take:

- Technical Interviewer -> I've helped multiple companies vet potential developers, built technical tests and interview them. I've interviewed thousands of candidates and have built multiple hiring processes from the ground up.

- Technical Product Manager -> As part of the "Toptal Projects" initiative, I've kickstarted multiple projects, in which I'd define the initial project roadmap with the stakeholders, define milestones, epics and stories, collaborate with designers to define the wireframes etc. Once the project was ongoing, I would act as the PO and continuously collaborate with the team to define future features and priorities.

- Software Architect -> Worked with or lead teams to develop various applications, typically with PHP & Laravel but sometimes also with Python, Node.js etc. I've also transitioned software to the cloud on AWS with EC2, S3, RDS, Cloudflare etc.

Project can vary wildly, and can last from a few weeks up to a year.

Senior Developer - PM - Technical Interviewer

A.Team

As the first dedicated interviewer for A.Team, an exclusive platform to match the best talent with
challenging roles, I led the charge in regards to evaluating technical and non-technical talent. I would evaluate candidate profiles, determine which ones have the right skillset for our roles, and later interview them to assess their abilities & experience further. I've interviewed various disciplines (marketing, SEO, growth, etc.) but mostly focused on technical interviews for developers & PM interviews.

I've interviewed 1000+ candidates (Devs, PMs, CTOs), most with impressive backgrounds (ex:
lead engineers working on Uber, AWS etc.) and matched them with equally impressive clients (Ledger,
Pepsi, Apprentice. Discord etc.).

Some technical aspects of my role included writing queries (SQL+Mongo) and building dashboards to track certain metrics in regards to talent management.

Technical Interviewer

As Themeisle's first PM, my goal was to improve several popular Wordpress Plugins (top 10, 300k+ active users) to increase their profitability and improve the user experience.

Using a data-driven approach, I've identified the most unwanted aspects of each plugin (based on user-behavior analysis and surveys), identified solutions and monitored the results.

To analyze user-behavior, identify trends and monitor improvements, I've built dozens of dashboards on Metabase using advanced PostgreSQL queries.

I've also conducted competition and market analysis for many of our products, collaborated with multiple teams (QA, Marketing, Content etc.) defined the product direction and managed the projects through the Kanban methodology.

I was working at Thinkful initially, it was acquired by Chegg during my time there.

I've done over 300 mock interviews with bootcamp students to improve their interviewing skills and coach them on how to obtain their dream job.

I've also led 'capstone teams', teams of 4-5 students building a new project from scratch, in which I've guided them regarding project management, agile methodologies (such as Scrum) and helped them with technical and non-technical issues.

Additionally, I've graded exams/projects from students from the Thinkful and Bloc coursework and provided feedback to help them understand their coursework better.

As developer #4 on this fast-growing marketing analytics startup, I was initially tasked to integrate API providers and build processes to periodically import and convert complex data sets into our own data format.

I've integrated nearly 100 API providers (Including Facebook, Google (DFP), Instagram) and built several internal tools to simplify data processing of complex and varied data.

As my responsibilities were very data-oriented, I've worked on complex schemas containing several hundred tables and optimized queries on databases containing over 4TB of data (Redshift).

As the product was very successful and won several rounds of funding (29M total), my responsibilities increased significantly. I was put in charge of a new data integration project and led a team to build it out. 

As this was a new project without a dedicated PM, I acted as the informal PM, defined the next features and managed the project on Jira through the Kanban methodology.

As a senior developer on an internal CRM made in PHP, used daily by hundreds of employees and executing over a million queries per hour, I've:

- Defined requirements in collaboration with C-level executives
- Implemented major database changes (MySQL) affecting hundreds of pages while maintaining data integrity 
- Optimized complex reports using tables with several million rows
- Created complex, interactive pages dynamically updated and saved using Ajax and jQuery.

As a developer on high-traffic websites serving over 15 million visits per month, I’ve: 

- Developed an entire section (linked on front-page) of the website using PHP (Zend), Javascript (jQuery, AJAX)
- Optimized many features on the sites using MemCached
- Created and optimized several MySQL queries in highly visited webpages

I'm a senior developer with over 14 years in the field. I've worked as a Software Developer, Product Manager, Technical Interviewer and more. Technically, I'm most experienced as a senior back-end developer, notably with PHP, Python, SQL, API Development & AWS.

Over the past few years, I've had the opportunity to work as a contracted talent with top-tier talent marketplaces such as Braintrust, A.Team, Toptal, and 10x Management. Notably, I've collaborated directly with Braintrust and A.Team, conducting technical interviews to evaluate exceptional talent for startups like Lyft and Discord, as well as Fortune 500 companies such as NASA, Walmart, and Pepsi.

Before transitioning to contract work, I specialized in back-end software development for SaaS companies. During my tenure at Tapclicks, a growing marketing automation company, I was leading an API integration project on top of personally integrating over 100 APIs with our internal databases.
