Lived in Kenya for 6 months.

• Planned, designed, and facilitated workshops, focus group discussions, and role-plays with 10 groups of children ensuring their right to participation. Trained 80 child researchers. 
• Held individual interviews with over 150 children and over 50 adults.
• Kept daily field notes, transcribed all interviews, entered data for over 500 surveys. Objectively analyzed and interpreted data. Identified structural and cultural obstacles and gaps in the child protection system. Formulated policy recommendations that influenced awareness-raising programs.
• Completed writing several extensive (over 100 pages) and summary research reports based on both phases (internally used documents by PLAN and IREWOC) and ghostwritten a book. 
• Guest-speaker expert and trainer at “Non-Punitive Approaches to Punishment” workshop series hosted by PLAN Kenya (2010).
