Tomorrow has traditionally been one of my least happy days of the year. 

l have to produce content about the Budget as quickly as possible after the Chancellor stops speaking. ln days gone by that would mean sitting at my keyboard writing while the speech was going on but that makes it very easy to miss important points. 

These days there’s no need to do that because l can record the speech, feed the transcript to my AI ‘pal’ and have it create the first draft of the blog which l then edit. The AI can repurpose the blog into social posts, emails or anything else l need. 

lt makes the entire process much less fraught and l get time to think about tailoring the content to the audience rather than simply getting the main points down. 

So, although financially AI has had a negative impact on my business this year, this is a big upside. 

Tomorrow afternoon will be a breeze instead of a storm. Thanks Claude 😊

It's happened... my son doesn't believe in Santa anymore. 😭😭😭 Do you still believe in magic? 


He's 9 and bright as a button, so it's really a surprise it took this long but I think he was having serious doubts last year. 

My daughter, who is 12, also knows I reckon but chooses to believe as it's more magical. 

I can't remember when I stopped believing but I think I held onto it for a long time! 

Just like a little bit of me always believed my teddy might actually be alive like SuperTed.

Maybe a tiny bit of me still does believe that tbh. 

But when it comes to CV magic I can't offer you any secret spells.

ChatGPT and Canva are both down thanks to a cloudfare issue... so the 2 hours I get to work today have been foiled!!


It just happens I was working on something for my free job hunting community that needed both those applications today! 

Perfect excuse to use this cute photo of my son who is now 9 though. 

Vodafone were down yesterday, in my house anyway. 

It's getting a little tiresome lately with various cyber attacks, crashes and issues with tech. And it does make you realise how much we rely on it. 

My phone is my alarm, my map, my access to friends and family, my camera and photo album, my video camera, my marketing tool... the list goes on!

We have an app for everything. 

Step trackers, meal planners, buying and selling things, reminders, note takers, journals, entertainment... everything. 

They tell kids to get less screentime but every homework set is on an app on the iPad. 

Anyway, I'm rambling. I'm not anti tech that's for sure. I'm in love with my Whoop but when stuff goes down it does get me thinking (that's what she said!)

We shall remember them. 


War isn't glorious or honourable. It's messy, bloody and brutal. 

I think today we need to remember that.

And show gratitude to all those who stood and fought for their country. 

I only wish war was a thing of the past. But maybe with humans it never will be. 

We studied this poem at school. And I'm glad. It's important. 

I remember going to see the graves in France and Belgium. Fields and fields of them. Seemingly endless. 

Walking in trenches and imagining the cry to go over the top. 

It fills me with emotion even now imagining that. All those lives lost. 

And still our service menu and women are out there doing their jobs. 

Lest we forget.
