I began my finance career at The Mergermarket Group. I joined Remark, a sub-division of the group responsible for producing bespoke publication reports and corporate events for sell-side, service providers, and corporate finance institutions involved in M&A. I was responsible for Australia, Greater China and Korean markets where I developed my Pan-Asian network in the finance field.

Since its acquisition by The Mergermarket Group in 2015, The AVCJ (Asian Venture Capital Journal), I was strategically transferred to this division to assist with its continual growth as the leader in PE/VC events in Asia.  

As this was now my 2nd acquisition experience, I was able to act as a bridge for the AVCJ platform and the group's other signature products: Mergermarket, Debtwire, DealReporter, Inframation Group - easing the post-merger acquisition from a grass-roots level. Here I continued to grow the business throughout Asia and amassed a large network in the Private Equity and Alternative Investments space (GP, LP and intermediaries).

My experience with Pacific Coffee was one over the course of 6+ years, rising through the corporate ranks, over thousands of cups of coffee. Here is my brief story: 

Fresh from graduating in Canada, I was pushed into the deep end and began my career on the 'Property Development' team for PCC. We were solely responsible for strategically growing the retail footprint of Hong Kong's largest coffee chain. During my 3  years in this division, we successfully grew the footprint from over 35% to roughly 85 shops in Hong Kong. 

I was shifted over to our 'Coffee Solutions' wholesale and distribution division. We had a quickly growing corporate sales business, selling coffee beans and machines to the likes of HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Sodexo, Regal Hotel Group, MGM Grand Casino, Cafe Deco Group, Facebook, Google to name a few. My role shifted to management of this sales team and continuing to win over large coffee contracts with global MNC's. 

Lastly, during my time, the company was acquired by China Resources Group - a State-owned Chinese conglomerate and I had first hand experience with this handover period. A wonderful experience that I am most definitely proud to have on my resume.
