Interim role whilst looking for Managerial / Planning roles . Running machines in the manufacturing process of turning blank planks of wood into bespoke planks .
- Implemented  / Educated various improvement projects using sixth sigma techniques to improve efficiency on the factory floor.

Shop Floor operative

Molton Brown

Managed team of 6 covering Master production scheduling, shop floor scheduling,Third party production planning,Procurement.
Domestic supply to multiple sales channels domestically and export  
Product range. >1000 finished items & >20,000 dependant items.

Highlights :* Restructured team in first year resulting in a more proactive, approachable and effective team improving customer service within the organisation.* Implemented Obsolesce review process -  Reduced stock write off by 80% (£4M to £0.8M) * Delivered launch stocks on >400 new product launches per year.
* Revised planning processes.  
* Customer Service improved from  95% to 98.2% in first year.
Successfully delivered 3 global relaunches incorporating formulation and packaging changes

Planning Manager

Sanofi

Seconded by the company as a product expert for the number 3 valued company blockbuster drug Taxotere. Full responsibility for product range ensuring no customer out of stocks. 4 Oncology formulations , >500 finished packs , >100 countries.
Key Achievements:
•	No customer out of stocks 
•	Inventory obsolescence reduced from 6M euros to 2.5M euros.
•	Assisted in relaunching a simplified S&OP process which made business decisions.
•	Created a responsive customer focussed environment within Planning, Demand and Distribution functions.
•	6 month secondment turned into 18 months on a local German contract.

Supply Chain Manager (Oncology Business)

Led all Supply Chain aspects of product transfers for the UK to Germany and Italy. Approx 50 products, 2 company blockbusters, >1000 finished items . 
Close working relationships formed with receiving countries , Customers , Regulatory, Finance, Production, HR & other functions. 
Responsible for the creation of stock build plans, accountable for ensuring no customer out of stocks. 
Led markets at risk process highlighting risks and putting action plans in place. Developed scenario planning tools to implement transfer strategies and simulate changes over the project lifetime.
Key Achievements: 
•	No Customer out of stocks during the 3 year project.
•	Reduction in Write-off provision from £2M to <£200k actual on stock holding of > £38M
•	UK Site closed with all products transferred to receiving sites. No impact on Customer service.
•	All stock build product produced on time to meet requirements , within budget and with no impact on supply  to the Patient.

Supply Transfer Leader and Sales and Operations Planning Leader (Dual Role)

Site specialist in Sales and Operations Planning/Integrated Business Planning. 
Designed, educated and  implemented the process within 4 months. 
Process owner responsible for  ensuring key business decisions were by the site directors .
Chaired the monthly Business review meeting attended by the directors. 
Continually monitored and refined the process to improve, and made it a key business decision making processes for the site.

Key Achievements 
•	Made the process a simple decision making process bought in and adhered to by the management board.
•	Aligned process adhered to by all functions on site 
•	Product launches incorporated into process resulting in successful launches .
•	Budget incorporated into the S&OP process.

Sales and  Operations Planning Leader

Aventis Pharmaceutical

Managed team of 3 planners  and schedulers covering 0- 12 months horizon. Responsible for creating and monitoring plans to achieve 100% Customer service whilst balancing inventory holding and avoiding write off costs. Allocation of product during a sustained shortage of glass components .
Key Achievements:
- Improved Customer service from 70% to 95%.
- Implemented Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI).  Result -  50% reduction in site inventory holding Valued  at >£50M
- Reduction of write-off costs by 75% through the introduction of new working methods and key Inventory management  tools and techniques .
