I’m Miro, and I’m writing from Milano, Italy. 
I have almost 20 years of experience in software development, and as an entrepreneur, I have created successful IT companies where I'm in touch with great and talented colleagues.

After doing enterprise software for so many years, I was letterly thrilled when I discovered WEB3 and specifically what decentralization can bring to us and how it can disrupt monopolies created by big organizations and tech companies.

Blockchain architect and product owner. Responsible for Decentralised Application development and platform operations. Designed the blockchain architecture and worked alongside top law firm ReedSmith on the legal structures needed for Modus to operate. Project management of blockchain smart contract interactions and platform UI/UX. The mission: to automate, simplify, and democratise the property development market, allowing people from all walks of life to benefit from the thriving UK residential property market.

Responsibilities are primarily luxury sales orientated and also includes an aftersales element. The goal is to create a delighting customer experience. This role has allowed me to develop negotiation and story-telling skills, as well as vast front-line business knowledge.

Combining sales floor experience and CRM principles, a new digital transformation strategy was designed that has led to the seamless integration of online and physical sales channels. Working with developers in order to build something that I had conceptualised. Hereby, I gained experience in customer journey mapping, process design, UX/UI design, presenting and communication with developers.

Facilitated STX Group with solutions regarding the effective implementation of their newly acquired ISO 9001:15 certification across its three international offices. The thesis written for STX fills a gap in existing literature as it specifies a relationship between national cultural dimensions and successful quality management systems (QMS). Consequently, I obtained organisational design skills in regard to QMS and improved my sensitivities for inter-cultural communication.

As co-founder of Modus, my goal is to democratize property development investments. We’re making institutional-grade opportunities accessible to anyone, anywhere. Using blockchain, we remove barriers and offer new ways for individuals to diversify their portfolios. Our platform enables peer-to-peer investments in real-world assets, opening doors that were previously closed to most. With a strong legal framework and a fast-growing community, we’re just getting started.

My journey began with a fascination for economics, which led me to explore business, blockchain, and digital assets. In 2017, I dove into managing a portfolio of cryptocurrencies and tokens. That’s when I realized Web3’s potential to disrupt industries, especially property development. This inspired my co-founders and I to create Modus, where we sold over $150,000 in shares in our first property listing with realised returns of 24% APY. 

Outside of Modus, I share insights on blockchain, economics, and innovation. I also enjoy golf, a hobby that sharpens my focus and helps me stay calm under pressure—whether on the course or in business. It’s also a great excuse to spend a quality weekend with friends every summer, something I hope we’ll be doing for decades to come!
