My name is Mitch Clements, and I specialize in product vision, strategy, storytelling, and building design teams to drive business results.

With a diverse career background as a developer, product manager, and designer, I bring a unique perspective as a Product Design Leader. This multidisciplinary skillset empowers me to unite cross-functional teams to transform ambitious visions into actionable, incremental strategies, taking products from 0 to 1 and driving business metrics.

I thrive in leading companies through exponential growth while simultaneously prioritizing profitability and innovation at an enterprise level. Currently serving as a Senior Product Design Manager at nCino, I collaborate closely with the leadership team to establish the product vision and strategy for our mortgage portfolio. Overseeing 22 cross-functional teams, our collective efforts impact 1 in 3 U.S. mortgage loans, serving over 10 million users.

Additionally, I am deeply passionate about fostering the design community. I regularly speak at design conferences, spearheaded a product mentorship program connecting 500+ mentees with mentors, and regularly contribute to discussions here on LinkedIn (with an audience of 50K+ designers).

Pioneered industry-changing market intelligence inventory management software within a diverse team resulting in 3 rounds of advance prototyping, and 2 rounds of in-depth user research testing.
Partook in a nationwide persona development research initiative by leading interviews in the state of Arizona at 5 retail locations resulting in 4 key personas as our company’s target customers.
Collaborated directly with stakeholders to build a vision of product (VOP) for the future of Torqata tools
Co-facilitated workshops with internal stakeholders to establish a detailed company service blueprint to identify pain points and opportunities with our current services
Partook in a deep heuristic evaluation of Torqata’s legacy tools, resulting in 100+ documented issues that would later support the strategy to move toward a new vision of product (VOP).
Supported  multiple product team pods delivering designs within Agile two-week sprints

Conducted heuristic evaluation for Remetrik’s 1st generation SaaS product for music royalty accounting to implement design strategies and priorities for the second generation.
Worked on a small team with the sole stakeholder and developers to present UX design concepts, wireframes, and hi-fidelity mockups for group review and feedback
Focused on redesigning Remetrik’s tabular data UI to help users upload, review, hide, and expand table rows for music royal metadata information.

Using UX research and design to help small businesses, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs build better digital products, websites, and services. My process helps stakeholders define their goals, set expectations, and create seamless experiences that are defined by user research. My focus is on defining user problem spaces, building information architecture and site maps, optimizing user flows, and wireframing. I deliver high-fidelity prototypes and learn from real user testing.
