My name is Mitch Clements, and I specialize in product vision, strategy, storytelling, and building design teams to drive business results.

With a diverse career background as a developer, product manager, and designer, I bring a unique perspective as a Product Design Leader. This multidisciplinary skillset empowers me to unite cross-functional teams to transform ambitious visions into actionable, incremental strategies, taking products from 0 to 1 and driving business metrics.

I thrive in leading companies through exponential growth while simultaneously prioritizing profitability and innovation at an enterprise level. Currently serving as a Senior Product Design Manager at nCino, I collaborate closely with the leadership team to establish the product vision and strategy for our mortgage portfolio. Overseeing 22 cross-functional teams, our collective efforts impact 1 in 3 U.S. mortgage loans, serving over 10 million users.

Additionally, I am deeply passionate about fostering the design community. I regularly speak at design conferences, spearheaded a product mentorship program connecting 500+ mentees with mentors, and regularly contribute to discussions here on LinkedIn (with an audience of 50K+ designers).

Over 20 years at Microsoft shaped my approach to leadership, innovation, and culture. I led UX research and product teams across software, hardware, and services — spanning interactive television, operating systems that serve billions, and innovative hardware solutions. My foundation is in empathy: using the tools of UX research to deeply understand problems, people, and systems — a skillset I now apply beyond tech to high-performance environments.

Whether building products used around the world or studying performance in industries like Formula 1, the fundamentals stay the same: technical excellence is essential, but it’s the systems, culture, and mindsets that unlock sustainable high performance.

Through Driven, I bring together professionals from technology, motorsport, and other innovation-driven industries to share insights, grow leadership skills, and build cultures that thrive under pressure. I’m especially passionate about bringing fresh perspectives to motorsport — helping it evolve to be more inclusive for women and underrepresented groups — and creating space where Big Tech and F1 can learn from each other’s successes, challenges, and innovations.

Currently, I’m expanding this work by participating in the Hintsa Performance Coaching Certification (trainee), deepening my understanding of what it takes for individuals and teams to achieve sustainable excellence — not just perform, but thrive in high-stakes environments.
