I’ve always carried a notebook.

Even in the field, covered in dust, surrounded by sensors, half-finished prototypes, and unanswered questions, I wrote things down. Numbers, equations, but most importantly stories: Stories on what worked, what failed, and why people believed in one idea but not another.

That notebook became a habit, and a philosophy.

I started seeing patterns. The best tech didn’t win. The best stories did. The inventions that earned trust from investors, clients, or the public were the ones that made people feel the science, not just understand it.

Today, I work with deep tech founders who are building the future but struggle to fund itThey have the technology, the patents, the research, but not the language that makes people believe in their vision.

Together, we translate their breakthroughs into narratives that attract consistent clients, funding, and long-term believers.

Like Erin who went from zero leads to 95% inbound, $500K in 1 month, and getting recognized by Nike, Ortholite, Ariat, and other global brands as a leader in footwear. Following the completion of my MARch, I now take on more responsibility at both design and in-house management of projects level, a natural progression towards RIBA Part 3.

Architectural Assistant (RIBA Part 2)

Race Cottam Associates affords me fantastic exposure to different sectors and scales of projects, and experience ranging from feasibility to detailed design, set within a friendly, encouraging environment. 

Working in the practice whilst studying is invaluable to me as a developing creative; benefiting from the theoretical aspect of of MArch course, and the technical, real-world applications of architectural design in practice.

My work mainly resides in the Healthcare and Education sectors, with other projects including residential, light commercial jobs and larger Waste sector schemes.

Architectural Assistant (RIBA Part 1)

Gap Inc./Outlet

Delivering quality service to customers in store is the main aspect of my position. The role also includes cash handling, store maintenance and stock replenishment. I feel I performed exceedingly well at Gap, with both management and customers commending me on my work, attitude and customer service.

Sales Associate

Primark Stores Limited

My duties primarily include cash handling, till operation and dealing with returned items. I have also worked as a stockroom assistant and on the maintenance of the shop floor including stock replenishment. My time at Primark has lead me to develop exemplary customer service skills and have been commended by customers and supervisors on them.

Retail Operative

I undertake annual voluntary work experience with Race Cottam Associates, in which time I learn about the architectural industry, how to use particularly useful programs and about the finer points of the design process itself by working on live projects, such as Derby UTC and Leeds Metropolitan University.
