A blast from the past! 🚘 🚙 

From the beginning of the year 1975, Spanish artist Julio Lafuente created and sculpted about 30 sculptures and landmarks in the city of #Jeddah, including this sculpture, which he proudly named “Crazy Speed.”

These sculptures is one of Jeddah’s most famous artworks and consists of five cars which appear to have crashed head first into an enormous block of solid reinforced concrete.

One of my all time favorites quotes goes something like: 

“You look at the world once, in childhood. The rest is memory.”

Japanese sculptor Taiji Taomote creates surrealist sculptures of skulls out of plaster, that show the artist’s turbulent imagination and his impressive realistic approach.

Sadly, I couldn’t find any social media presence of him as of now.

One of my favorite philosophies I have discovered is called “Oubaitori” It’s a Japanese deep philosophy that reminds us growth is unique to each single individual. 

Humans, like trees, bloom on their own timelines. It taught me that the best thing I can do is keep focusing on myself, becoming blind to the journeys of the trees around me!

Sending a virtual hug to Sahil Bloom for opening up my eyes to this precious philosophy which is needed to be heard and adapted in every way possible, not to mention the wonderful graphics below.

Artist Stephen McMennamy selects images with simple, closely spaced backgrounds and brings them together in a way that creates a new, fantastical, and unexpected form. 

They look like Photoshop paintings, but they are simply collages of images without using Photoshop; even the dividing line between the two images is visible, and he didn’t try to hide it.
