In the early days of my career, I was desperate as hell. 

This is me, circa 2016, after 12 months of applying and interviewing. 

God, I was dead inside. Paying $250 for my share of a 1 bedroom Jerusalem apt split 4 ways. 

I was in my early 20s with no high school or college education. 

I traveled the world but had nothing but passport stamps to show for it. 

I was a “generalist” with no real experience. Rarely made it to the first interview. 

But here’s what changed. 

I decided to never feel sorry for myself. 

I decided that instead of chips on the shoulder weighing me down, I’d use them to stack under me and lift myself up. 

I started looking for side doors to every opportunity. 

And nothing was beneath me. No salary, no title. 

2016-2020 was a time. One thing is for sure, though, I’ll never get that hair back.
