During my tenure as a Supplier Contracts Attorney at SLB in Bucharest, Romania, from 2022 to 2023, I played a pivotal role in supporting contract operations across diverse regions, including East Africa, Angola, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. My responsibilities encompassed the review, negotiation, and crafting of contractual agreements with clients and suppliers, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in all engagements on behalf of Schlumberger. I executed daily legal duties delegated by regional Legal Counsels/Contracts Managers, fostering seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams, particularly procurement and finance, to facilitate contract execution and compliance.

Throughout my tenure, I maintained a keen awareness of industry trends and best practices in supplier contract management, enabling the organisation to stay ahead of the curve and adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes. My contributions were underpinned by a commitment to upholding stringent ethical standards, ensuring that all contract-related activities adhered to the highest levels of integrity and professionalism.

Key to my role was ensuring compliance with pertinent legal and regulatory frameworks, thereby mitigating potential risks and proactively offering solutions to safeguard organisational interests. During my tenure at SLB in Maputo, Mozambique, I served as a Jurist for East Africa from 2021 to 2022. Moreover, I provided crucial support to legal operations across a diverse array of countries, including Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, Namibia, Kenya, South Sudan, South Africa, and Angola.

A significant aspect of my responsibilities involved ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations in Mozambique. This entailed monitoring legal requirements and making certain that the company's activities aligned with statutory provisions. Additionally, I oversaw litigation processes and maintained effective communication with external legal representatives, updating pertinent details within Schlumberger's legal systems.

I actively contributed to the company's risk management efforts by executing routine legal risk evaluations. These assessments enabled the implementation of tailored mitigation strategies, ultimately reducing potential legal risks. My meticulous approach to contract review processes further bolstered our risk reduction initiatives, ensuring thorough scrutiny of contractual agreements.

Recognising the importance of operational efficiency, I took initiative in optimising legal financial operations. By organising and streamlining the filing of external counsel invoices, I enhanced the efficiency of our financial processes, contributing to cost-effectiveness and resource optimisation.
