The Need To Know Group

The Need To Know Group develops culturally sensitive educational workshops and seminars for diverse clients.  We specialize in conducting professional development workshops for high school and college educators who instruct African American students, and for police officers (law enforcement personnel) who work in communities of color.  We devise and develop communication strategies for companies, public servants, and public officials; and we provide coaching for people in professional and private settings.  Our company motto is "Making Learning Irresistible."  

The Need To Know Group exists to fill profound gaps in the marketplace of ideas – gaps that encourage people to be at odds with each other and that help generate external and internal conflict.  We provide highly informative programming that stimulates rigorous debate and challenges deeply rooted assumptions and fallacies that are often explicitly or implicitly reinforced by this society.

The Need To Know Group is composed of consultants in various fields, including law, education, diversity/multiculturalism, mental health, history, literature, and technology, among other areas.  The consultants are available to conduct workshops, seminars, symposia, and ongoing programming on a variety of topics they consider important to the social health and viability of various communities.

I am the Founder and President of The Need To Know Group.  Prior to starting the company, I was an assistant professor of psychology teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels at a historically Black college in the south.  I have also taught criminal justice and English classes at the college level.  I grew up in a western suburb of Chicago, and my company maintains a presence in Chicago and in Birmingham, AL.
