Implemented a Demand Management program in order to identify, measure and implement corrective action on abuse and misuse of network supplies. As a result, the overall cost per shipment was lowered and generated an estimated 1.2 million in savings. Consistently achieving a yearly savings target of 5.6 million on the assigned managed spend.

Responsible for the global supply of all packaging items (Primary and Secondary) to all international subsidiaries in 22 different countries in 4 continents. Manage staff of a four composed of two Sr. Buyers and two Buyers. Lead and guide buyers in cost saving strategies and implementation of the same. Encourage buyers to find alternative sources and maintain open lines of communication with the divisions in order to provide and maintain a good service level while attaining overall company objectives. Responsible for the smooth workflow of the staff by balancing the workload among buyers. Enforce and insure that the different divisions worldwide understand, adhere to and comply with Corporate Purchasing Policies and procedures. Introduced into the corporate purchasing system all the companies acquired trough various acquisitions worldwide. Accountable for the generation of synergies and consolidation of suppliers among the company divisions. Provide guidance and assistance in contract negotiations between the company with independent growers, third party packers, and any company in general that may be responsible for packing company grown or contracted produce.  Continual supervision of inventory levels on critical packaging items in critical countries. Work as a liaison between the Accounts Payable department and the different suppliers that may encounter issues regarding payments. Recommend changes in the billing process to the suppliers once issues are identified and a corrective action plan is in place. Work in close contact with the Marketing group in order to meet launch dates in new programs worldwide. Monitor commodity pricing trends that impact the cost of packaging material worldwide.
