I started my career hunting for top talent in Asia Pacific. 

During my headhunting days, I realise that to get your dream job and the promotion you deserve, goes way beyond qualifications. 

It’s about the intangibles like your mindset, branding, network and likeability. The best part of my job was bringing out the best of these in my candidates.

That's why I ended up as a career coach and corporate trainer. Since then, I've spent the last decade helping thousands of professionals to thrive in their careers and land multiple offers via my social job hunting method. My clients say I open up new worlds of possibilities for them.

One introduction led me to a conversation in Jakarta.

The key takeaway? Be a Linkedin lighthouse.

When Shamane Tan told me I had to meet an Indonesian chairman she had just crossed paths with, I knew it would be meaningful. Indos meeting Indos always feels like home. There's an unspoken connection you can feel even before you sit down.

I walked into an IG worthy cafe in Jakarta with Chairman Munir Machmud Ali Ali and CEO Eko. We explored why brands(both companies and personal) still chase numbers when they could be attracting the right opportunities instead. A Lighthouse doesn't run after ships. It stands to serve, shines clearly, and lets the right ships find it.

We talked about Munir's meteoric rise on LinkedIn in just a few months. Three principles drove his growth:

1. Lift up other creators, especially the smaller ones. A like, a supportive comment, a reshare goes a long way.

2. Track what actually moves the needle, such as your most loyal followers. Be genuinely obsessed with data. Leaders who dig into what actually drives impact win.

3. Build relationships through people, not cold outreach. Shamane introduced me to Munir. Munir introduced me to Eko. That chain led to one of my best conversations this year.

Munir applied these so consistently that some people wonder if he's human or a very dedicated bot. That's what discipline looks like when you show up daily with intention.

Thank you both for the warmth, sincerity, and clarity. I left Jakarta reminded that influence is built by showing up with intention, data, and heart.

Best networking event of 2025 🙌

Completely biased but vibes don’t lie.

Our Vibe Tribe lunch at LinkedIn APAC HQ felt nothing like a typical “networking event.”

No awkward small talk
No forced conversations(ok, facilitated)
Just communities coming together and showing up with warmth & curiosity

More than 100+ people packed the room.
Quick engagement activities turned into real conversations that I couldn’t stop (good problem in a talk about networking!)

And people said they felt so seen, welcomed and included 🥹

Vibey stole the show with his debut.

Our tiny bunny magnet with the big ears.

I accidentally said a line that made everyone crack up. Let’s just say the room had way more imagination than I expected 🤐

Anyway he made people laugh and relax. 
He reminded all of us to take one small step out of our comfort zone.

And yes, #VibeyComics have officially dropped too on Vibe Tribe  

His little adventures to getting seen, trusted and chosen are just getting started.
