If you still follow KOLs in the crypto space remember this. They are not your friends. Most of the time they are either pumping their own bags or getting paid to shill.

Take Ansem as an example. He hyped $GAS on Bags as the next big thing in AI agent workflows branded it as “gas town” and praised the dev as a genius. The token went from zero to a $60M market cap in no time pulling in a massive wave of followers.

Just three days later it is back under $1M. The dev reportedly cashed out around $300K in fees and essentially told everyone to move on. Textbook pump and dump.

Ansem has also been heavily involved in the Claude meta pushing AI coins on Solana as the future. Many of those collapsed hard. ZachXBT has even called him out for promoting hundreds of low cap memecoins that ended up hurting followers.

✅ For context Bags is a launchpad similar to Pumpfun. In this case Bags founder Finn worked closely with KOLs like Ansem daily volume crossed $400M and serious money was made. KOLs walked away with profits and the token is now back under $1M.

After that the story followed a familiar pattern. He said he was wrong again and suggested he might not support projects like this going forward. But this is how most KOLs operate. The same cycle repeats itself across crypto.

As a marketer I have been observing and working with KOLs for years. When the market does not deliver easy returns many of them turn on their own communities and use followers as exit liquidity for low quality tokens.

I used Ansem as an example but this is the reality for about 99% of KOLs in the space. As someone who has been in crypto marketing for 8 years I can say with confidence there is no shortcut better than organic growth. It takes time patience and real effort but it is the only approach that actually lasts.

The moral is simple. Do not ape blindly.

Do your own research and trade based on your own conviction or you will end up holding the bag while KOLs walk away.

Crypto is ruthless so stay sharp.

P.S. When I saw $GAS it was obvious this would end badly for retail. You do not need years in the space to spot this. You just need to pause ignore the green candles for a moment and actually look at what you are buying.

Let us stop confusing “Blockchain” with “Crypto.”

For a long time (before 2018), I was a skeptic. Every time I heard the word blockchain, I thought of volatile coins and overnight scams. I avoided the topic because the noise was too loud.

But then I looked under the hood at 𝗗𝗟𝗧 (𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆).

DLT is not a currency. It is infrastructure. It is the "Digital Concrete" we are using at Project Divido, to rebuild how real estate works in Egypt.

Here is why this technology is the ultimate safety net for your wealth:

I voluntarily locked myself in an apartment with a COVID-positive skeptic (my best friend) for 14 days.

I never caught the Virus.
But he caught the Vision.

It was early 2020. The world was shutting down.
My best friend owned and managed a traditional hedge fund.
To him, I wasn't a visionary. I was a gambler.
He told me crypto was a scam. A casino. A ticking time bomb.

Then he tested positive.
Mandatory isolation. No exit. No visitors.
I saw a window that would never open again.

I packed a bag.
I moved into his apartment.
I told him: "I am going to be your nurse. But you are going to be a listner."

For the next two weeks, we didn't watch Netflix.
We went to war over the future of money.

The 14-Day Siege:

Days 1-3: The Wall
He attacked the volatility.
"Look at the charts, Nadeem. It drops 20% in a day. You can't build a financial system on this."
He was looking at price. I needed him to look at the plumbing.

Days 4-6: The Pivot
I stopped showing him candles. I started showing him code.
I broke down Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).
I explained how blocks are actually validated.
I explained why a "trustless" system is actually the most trusted.
He stopped arguing. He started listening.

Day 7: The Kill Shot
I told him to take out his phone.
"Download MetaMask."
I sent him a small amount of XRP & ADA.
It settled in seconds.

I looked him in the eye and asked the question that won the war:
"How long does it take your hedge fund to settle a cross-border trade?"

He hesitated.
"T+3 days."

Day 10: The Conversion
The math was undeniable.
He realized that while he was waiting 3 days for a bank to clear a wire, I was moving value across the world in 4 seconds.
He wasn't looking at a scam anymore. He was looking at the death of the middleman.

Day 14: The Exit
We tested negative for COVID.
But we were positive on Project Nexus.

We didn't go to VCs. We didn't create a pitch deck.
We went to build an army.
We needed a CTO, a Marketing Lead, a Sales Lead, and a Head of Crypto.

I didn't use a recruiter.
I opened my personal network and called the 5 sharpest minds I knew.
I told them: "We are building the bridge between traditional finance and blockchain."

We formed a founding team of 6.
We had no funding.
We had no product.
We just had 6 brains and mostly empty pockets.

On an honest note most of the bootstrapping came from my best friend. 

We bootstrapped for the next 8 months.
We paid for everything ourselves.
We thought the hard part was convincing the skeptics.

We were wrong.
The hard part wasn't the pitch.
It was the $350,000 mistake we were about to make.

For decades, the entry fee to this asset class has been impossible for 90% of the population.

The biggest friction in Egyptian Real Estate has always been the "Source of Truth." Legacy registries are prone to human error and latency. 𝟴 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀, 𝟰𝟬-𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

I am sharing this as a warning to anyone in the UAE considering an internet "upgrade" with du. If you value your time and your professional sanity, do not fall for the trap.

To secure a renewal, du promised me a seamless, same-day transition for my home internet. They guaranteed my service would only be cut once a new installation slot was confirmed. They lied.

My connection was cut on Friday at 1:00 PM. It is now Saturday, and I am still completely offline.

The reality of du "Customer Care":

• The Endless Loop: I have called them over 8 times in less than 24 hours.

• The Wait: On multiple occasions, I was left on hold for over 40+ minutes just to speak with a manager.

• The Incompetence: Despite the long waits, the "management" team is powerless. Their only solution is to "send an email" to a technical team that never responds.

• The Broken Promises: I was told I would receive call-backs "shortly" to confirm appointments. Those calls never happened.

My Advice:

Never fall for the upgrade. It does not matter if they offer you faster speeds or lower costs. If the service does not work and the support is non-existent, it is a massive downgrade to your life and your work.

A provider that leaves its customers stranded for 24+ hours with no timeline for a fix is not a company you can trust.

I agree, Zen. AI adoption often fails because companies treat it as a magic pill 💊 rather than a structural overhaul. It is the same mistake we saw with early cloud adoption.

I have watched organizations rush to implement AI tools without fixing their fragmented data first. It is a moment of heat for leadership when they realize they have spent millions to automate bad processes. I learned that you cannot layer intelligence on top of chaos and expect clarity. Everyone wants AI, and they want it right now.

So you got hit twice.

The gap between "what you have" and "what you need" didn't just stay the same. It got wider.

The Old Problem:

To hedge against this, you needed 5 million EGP to buy a unit immediately. If you didn't have it, you were forced to hold cash and watch it shrink.

The New Reality:

Fractional ownership changes the math entirely.

You don't need to wait for the 5 million.

You can lock in that 100,000 EGP into the asset class today.

Stop saving to invest. Invest to save.

If you are sitting in cash waiting for a "better time," you are fighting a losing battle against math.

The biggest lie in Real Estate is that it is a Safe Haven.

It isn’t. It is a concrete prison for your money.

If you buy an apartment in Cairo today for 5 Million EGP, you have an asset. But you have zero cash.

Now, imagine you have a medical emergency, a business opportunity, or a market crash next week.

You cannot sell a bathroom to pay for it.

You have to sell the whole unit. And in a slow market, that takes 3 to 6 months.

I call this the Liquidity Trap.

Real Estate has always had a fatal flaw: It is binary. You are either ALL IN In or ALL OUT.

• Time to Sell: Average 140+ days.

• Distress Discount: If you need cash fast, you lose 15-25% of the value (some case even more).

• Opportunity Cost: Your capital is frozen while other opportunities (Gold, Stocks, Crypto) fly by.
In 2026, this model is obsolete.

We don't need to trap our wealth in concrete boxes anymore.

Most people are invisible because they are too "smart" for their own good. They bury their best ideas under a mountain of jargon and wonder why nobody is buying.

I wasted a lot of time trying to sound sophisticated when I should have been focused on being clear. I realized that complexity is usually just a mask for a lack of confidence in the core offer. It was a hard pill to swallow, but my results only shifted when I started treating communication as a precision tool rather than a creative exercise.

The data is clear: in an era of 8 second attention spans, the "Big Idea" is the only thing that survives the scroll. The 16-Word Sales Letter is not just a book for writers. It is a manual for anyone who needs to move people to action in 2026. If you cannot distill your vision into a single, punchy promise, you are just adding to the noise.

We are moving into a market where "brevity" is the ultimate luxury. The leaders who can say more with less will own the conversation.

Tactical take: Go to your "About" section or your latest pitch deck. Delete every word that does not directly support your one big promise. If it is not a "Hell Yes" for the reader, it is a "No." 🥂

Anyone who communicates ideas for a living should read Made to Stick at least once a year. I distilled the book from 304 pages to 7 principles that changed how I write, think, and sell new ideas:

1. Fight "The Curse of Knowledge"

Once you know something, you can't imagine not knowing it. You subconsciously tune your frequency to "Expert," using jargon and skipping foundational steps. 

To win, write like you are explaining things to your smart but impatient grandmother.

2. Simple: Find the Core

Proverbs survive for centuries because they pack maximum wisdom into minimum words. "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" beats a 500-word essay on risk management. 

Southwest Airlines didn't have a 10-point strategic plan; they had one proverb: "THE low-cost airline." If a decision didn't help them be the low-cost airline (like serving chicken salad), they didn't do it. 

If you can't explain your value prop in one sentence after three beers, it is too complex.

3. Unexpected: Break the "Guessing Machine"

Violate expectations. Instead of "excellent customer service," say "We don't answer emails on weekends because we want our staff to love their lives." Instead of a statistic about safety, show a safety video that gets interrupted. 

4. Concrete: Use "Velcro"

Never say "we offer high-performance solutions." 

Say "our battery saves you 47 minutes of charging time per day." 

The Heaths use the example of the "kidney heist" urban legend. We remember it because it has a bathtub, ice, and a note. It is visceral. Stop selling "solutions" and sell "bathtubs and ice."

5. Credible: The "Sinatra Test"

You don't need a PhD to be credible; you just need to pass the "Sinatra Test": 

If I can make it there, I can make it anywhere.

If you catered a dinner for the White House, you don't need to tell me your food is safe and delicious. The credential speaks for itself. Don't drown people in statistics. Give them one immense, verifiable proof point. "We power the security for the Pentagon" beats a 20-page whitepaper on encryption standards every time.

6. Emotional: The "Mother Teresa" Principle

"If I look at the mass, I will never act. If I look at the one, I will."

Stop trying to get people to care about "the industry" or "the metrics." Make them care about one person. Don't say "We help companies reduce turnover." Say "We help the VP of HR stop dreading exit interviews." 

Lead with the feeling, then justify with the logic.

7. Stories: The Flight Simulator

A great story is a flight simulator for the brain. When you tell a story about how a problem was solved, the listener mentally rehearses that success.

So walk the prospect through the simulation: "Imagine it's Monday morning. You open your laptop. Instead of 50 unread tickets, you see zero. You pour your coffee..." You are letting them "practice" the solution before they’ve even bought it. 

TAKEAWAY

Test your current messaging against these 7 rules.

If it fails half of them, rewrite it.

The reality is that resumes are lagging indicators. The real alpha is found in the leading indicators: hunger, adaptability, and character. I have learned that the most successful systems are not built on "perfect hires," but on people who were given a door to open when everyone else saw a wall.

The shift is moving from hiring for what someone did to hiring for what they can solve.
