·	Carried out ion implantation, Rutherford backscattering spectrometry and ion luminescence experiments.
·	Executed basic repairs and maintenance of the accelerator such as cleaning the ion sources, changing targets, replacing broken ionizers, gate valves, worn out flanges and O-rings as well as broken water pipes.
·	Custom designed electronic and hardware for specific experiments which the system was not originally designed for. 
·	Setup and supervised experiments for new research students.

My time at the University of Houston has given me the opportunity to gain a variety of experiences through campus involvement and internships. 

Deciding to major in Mechanical Engineering was a decision that changed my life because it allowed me to discover that I have a distinct passion for 3 things: 
- Innovation through technology 
- Advocating for underrepresented youth in STEM 
- Servant Leadership 

Throughout each of my professional roles, I’ve been able to have a front row seat to the impact technology has on product management, data analysis, and daily operations. I’m also very active in the National Society of Black Engineers at University of Houston. As an officer, I led a team of five in the planning and execution of information sessions, a social networking event and two career fairs with an attendance of over 1300 students. 

These opportunities pushed me to grow out of my shell, learn to communicate more effectively, and push for more underrepresented youth in STEM. 

Long term, I really look forward to being with a company where I can be a lifelong learner, explore different roles/career paths, and be highly involved in campus recruiting, providing guidance, and teaching the next young professionals. I feel this role would be an excellent starting point for me and I’d love to chat with you further.
