BYTE Challenge

BYTE Challenge is a digital learning platform for high school students and teachers.
The Challenge is to collect $Bytes (our digital currency) while learning from 100+ courses. These can be exchanged to prizes within our BYTE-Shop.

We digitalize Digital Natives:
- show tech impact within all occupational fields
- teach STEM basics & new technologies (#AI, #VR, #Blockchain)
- offer guidance for after graduation 
- for high school student (class 6-13) & teachers

In my full-time job at IBM as an Application Consultant, I developed the innovative continuation of our IBM internal Cloud Services & User Management administration tools for various project software. 
I also work in the TalentAdvisor working groups to make IBM more attractive as an employer. Of course, I am also involved in internal activities for students and pupils and support the planning of events.

Within the Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (German Informatics Society), I was able to achieve a lot in 2020 - 2022. As the spokesperson for the Young GI and board member, I brought the perspectives of GenZ into the association. 
As a speaker, I was able to help many people find their way, inspire them to get involved and strengthen their self-confidence. For instance, I started a series of events, the "STEM GIrls", which attracted over 350 registrations in the first year. The events serve to empower, find strengths and prepare young women and non-binaries for the professional world. 
I have also initiated and implemented over 33 digital events in these two years, including with companies such as IBM, Huawei Germany, McKinsey & Company, Netlight, Microsoft, Snowflake and Github.

I am 26 years old, a mom of twins, a Co-Founder of the BYTE Challenge, IBM Consultant, computer scientist👩‍💻 passionate baker 👩‍🍳 and a half marathon runner. 🏃‍♀️

My mission is to empower women in tech, 💪 inspire the next generation of computer scientists and create a more equitable world through education and technology. 🌎

In my full-time job, I work as a consultant at IBM, and on the side, I am very involved in volunteering for our society.
My volunteer work at the Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (German Informatics Society) and the BYTE Challenge education platform I co-founded provides free access to cool tech & informatics topics like AI, blockchain or smart homes to thousands of students worldwide.

Working on two projects under the supervision of Prof. Pipa (Neuroinformatics) and Prof. König (Neuropsychology) in the Virtual Reality Laboratory at the Institute of Cognitive Science.

The first project is a group project of the VR lab work group. While utilizing Scrum and project management methods we built a VR world for scientific purposes to research how fast a take-over process can be realized and eventually improved for autonomous cars if the human driver is prompted to do so.

The second project was about "platooning" semi-autonomous trucks that drive with in a column while using radar, LIDAR and GPS sensors. This study was fully conducted in VR.

Ich bin Senior Consultant und Partner Technical Specialist für AI Governance und Large Language Models mit einer großen Leidenschaft für vertrauenswürdige KI. Mein Fokus liegt darauf, Unternehmen dabei zu unterstützen, KI sicher, effizient und verantwortungsbewusst einzusetzen.

Mit meinem Master in Cognitive Computing und mehreren Jahren Erfahrung im Bereich Künstliche Intelligenz habe ich nicht nur Fachwissen aufgebaut, sondern auch aktiv zur Diskussion rund um Bias, Robustheit und ethische KI-Praktiken beigetragen. Das geschieht durch Fachpublikationen, Vorträge und Workshops.

Besonders wichtig ist mir, KI greifbar und verständlich zu machen. Ob in strategischen Projekten, als Speakerin oder in der Zusammenarbeit mit Kunden, ich liebe es, komplexe technische Themen klar zu vermitteln und dabei echte Lösungen zu erarbeiten.

Neben meiner Arbeit setze ich mich für Frauen in der Tech-Branche ein und unterstütze Studierende, die ihren Weg in die KI-Welt finden möchten.
