BYTE Challenge

BYTE Challenge is a digital learning platform for high school students and teachers.
The Challenge is to collect $Bytes (our digital currency) while learning from 100+ courses. These can be exchanged to prizes within our BYTE-Shop.

We digitalize Digital Natives:
- show tech impact within all occupational fields
- teach STEM basics & new technologies (#AI, #VR, #Blockchain)
- offer guidance for after graduation 
- for high school student (class 6-13) & teachers

In my full-time job at IBM as an Application Consultant, I developed the innovative continuation of our IBM internal Cloud Services & User Management administration tools for various project software. 
I also work in the TalentAdvisor working groups to make IBM more attractive as an employer. Of course, I am also involved in internal activities for students and pupils and support the planning of events.

Within the Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (German Informatics Society), I was able to achieve a lot in 2020 - 2022. As the spokesperson for the Young GI and board member, I brought the perspectives of GenZ into the association. 
As a speaker, I was able to help many people find their way, inspire them to get involved and strengthen their self-confidence. For instance, I started a series of events, the "STEM GIrls", which attracted over 350 registrations in the first year. The events serve to empower, find strengths and prepare young women and non-binaries for the professional world. 
I have also initiated and implemented over 33 digital events in these two years, including with companies such as IBM, Huawei Germany, McKinsey & Company, Netlight, Microsoft, Snowflake and Github.

I am 26 years old, a mom of twins, a Co-Founder of the BYTE Challenge, IBM Consultant, computer scientist👩‍💻 passionate baker 👩‍🍳 and a half marathon runner. 🏃‍♀️

My mission is to empower women in tech, 💪 inspire the next generation of computer scientists and create a more equitable world through education and technology. 🌎

In my full-time job, I work as a consultant at IBM, and on the side, I am very involved in volunteering for our society.
My volunteer work at the Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (German Informatics Society) and the BYTE Challenge education platform I co-founded provides free access to cool tech & informatics topics like AI, blockchain or smart homes to thousands of students worldwide.

I am a serial entrepreneur of educational projects 
and I have already received several awards for my hard work, e.g. Global Shero and an invitation to the President's Civic Festival. 🎉

Als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der TU Berlin im Bereich der Strukturmechanik und -simulation  erforsche ich den Einsatz von Machine Learning in Ingenieuranwendungen.
In der Gesellschaft für Informatik bringe ich als gewähltes Präsidiumsmitglied und Sprecher der Junior-Fellows die Informatik und das Ingenieurwesen näher zusammen.
In meiner Freizeit verbessere ich die Welt - mit kostenloser Bildung für alle - dafür habe ich die BYTE-Challenge mitgegründet!
Ausgezeichnet wurde mein Engagement bisher mit der Aufnahme als Junior-Fellow der Gesellschaft für Informatik sowie in die Forbes-Liste 30U30DA.

Meine Forschung konzentriert sich auf den Einsatz neuronaler Netze in der Mechaniksimulation, von der Materialmodellierung bis zur Lösung partieller Differentialgleichungen für statische und Schwingungs-Aufgaben.

Ehrenamtlich leite ich die BYTE Challenge, die von Carolin Neuman und mir gegründete, kostenlose Lernplattform und verantworte dort die IT-Administration, den Datenschutz, leite die Weiterentwicklung der Plattform-Software, bearbeite die zivilrechtlichen Fragestellungen, organisiere Stiftungsanträge, schreibe wissenschaftliche Veröffentlichungen über unsere Initiative, koordiniere und finde Kooperationspartner und Kontakte zu Schulbehörden und repräsentiere uns nach außen auf verschiedensten Konferenzen und Tagungen.

Außerdem wurde ich als Präsidiumsmitglied der GI sowie Sprecher der GI Junior-Fellows gewählt.

Weiterhin habe ich die Projektwerkstatt "eduhacktory" an der TU Berlin gemanaged, ein Modul, welches die digitale Lehre in Deutschland und Berlin analysiert und setze mich wo immer möglich für Bildung und Datenschutz ein.
