I was responsible for working on whatever project the company labelled high priority. I was part of the team called upon whenever a high priority task needed to be completed.
Some of my responsibilities included:
- Working on various projects that made use of the MVC pattern, Web services, Stored procedure calls, Html, Css, Aspx pages, Ascx server controls, and Web api calls, among other things
- Creating an easily extendable XML comparison tool to compare various xml with different structures against one another
- Practicing TDD while making the XML comparison tool
- Writing guides and giving live demos explaining how the XML comparison tool worked, how to run the test classes within them, and how to replicate/extend the program to allow for more xml formats to be compared
- Performing exploratory research on Behavior Driven Development (BDD), which involves Acceptance testing first, Unit testing next, and finally writing code
- Implementing a demo program showing the use of Specflow & Watin, in conjunction with the Visual Studio MSTest framework, to implement a BDD approach to software development
- Working on creating an internal company website using the Ektron CMS. Made use of C#, XML, Html, and CSS to create and maintain the site
- Making use of Html 5 and CSS3 in creating responsive websites

I was responsible for investigating and fixing bugs. I ended the work term with a 100% bug fix record. I achieved this by first understanding the bug/issue, exploring the different solutions available, implementing my preferred solution, testing to make sure the bug was indeed fixed, and waiting for a peer review before committing my bug fix.
Some of my other duties involved:
 Resolved bugs using Visual C#, XAML and SQL
 Worked in an agile programming environment, which involved having daily scrums, pair programming, and feature driven development
 Participated in weekly Project Euler coding sessions implementing solutions to problems using different interesting programming techniques (Modularization, Encapsulation, etc.)
 Created a guide and gave a presentation on 'How to start Debugging'
 Mentored a new full-time employee in understanding the codebase and debugging code
 Implemented a simple system using Rest with Hypermedia frameworks after participating in a tutorial

I was responsible for porting a Visual basic 6 (VB 6) project to Visual C#. I completed the project 2 months earlier than planned and later proceeded to add additional features to the application.
Some of my duties included:
 Ported a VB6 application to Visual C#
 Migrated data from Access 97 to a MySQL database (also included Normalizing records)
 Performed integration testing after feature completion in order to maintain good code quality
 Adhered to the project requirements in order to avoid any misunderstandings while making modifications where necessary to follow good design patterns
 Finished the project two months before the required time
 Presented a working copy of the project to the clients during a demo
 Integrated additional client requirements into the existing project
