Cause here’s the thing. Any job we get is a big deal but that VERY first job we get? Or at least the ones early in our career?

Those managers saw something in us. 
They took a chance on us. 
They believed in us.

And that means something.

The people I admire the most at work do one thing really really well: 
They figure it out.

I’ve had leaders put me in situations I didn’t think I could do, seemed underqualified for, and kindly pushed me. And guess what? I’ve never grown more in my career.

Growth happens when we’re not sure if we can and do it anyways.
Growth happens when someone believes in us and supports us.
Growth happens when we push through even in the midst of the unknown.

There’s so much talk of failure vs success and what it means to not hit the mark.

Well, it really feels like failure is the choice to not even try at all.

I process payoff and discharge requests for a real estate investment trust and direct lender. Working with cross-functional teams, I review and analyze reports/documentation to verify compliance. I investigate the causes of any missing information and secure the needed documentation. I am careful to validate every request thoroughly, mitigating the risk of fraud. I adhere consistently to all regulatory guidelines and best practices, including AML/BSA.

Selected Achievements:

­   Rebuilt the department infrastructure and cleaned out heavy backlog of discharges. Reviewed and updated policies and procedures for information management. 
­   Served as technology SME, driving implementation of the CSC (Corporation Service Company) solutions. Drove testing, validation, vendor relations, and adoption.

I processed mortgages that were referred to me from the sales department. Communicating directly with clients and stakeholders, I ensured confidentiality in collecting and analyzing all documentation. I mitigated the risk of fraud, liaising with the underwriting team. 

Selected Achievements:

­   Held up to 98 loans in the first few months of joining the company (twice the company goal). 
­   Trained and mentored a new mortgage loan processor.
­   Selected to serve on a special team responsible for assisting “premier” clientele.

Niagara's Choice Federal Credit Union (NCFCU)

I built the home equity loans department from the ground up and acted as SME. Working on every home equity loan, I collected and approved the required documentation. I provided outstanding service in helping clients complete the loan application process. I also worked with an auditor to ensure compliance, investigated issues of potential fraud and potential money-laundering. I completed trainings on AML, fraud, cybersecurity, CTRs, and SARs. 

Selected Achievements:

­   Set up processes, SOPs, and trainings for managing and reviewing home equity loans.
­   Helped conduct internal audits and reviewed findings pertaining to home equities – achieved zero wrong/incorrect loans. 
­   Researched and presented benchmarks on best practices for new title company.
