The people I admire the most at work do one thing really really well: 
They figure it out.

I’ve had leaders put me in situations I didn’t think I could do, seemed underqualified for, and kindly pushed me. And guess what? I’ve never grown more in my career.

Growth happens when we’re not sure if we can and do it anyways.
Growth happens when someone believes in us and supports us.
Growth happens when we push through even in the midst of the unknown.

There’s so much talk of failure vs success and what it means to not hit the mark.

Well, it really feels like failure is the choice to not even try at all.

- Support the design and construction of industrial, manufacturing, and office facilities and related site infrastructure including roadways and underground utilities
- Work with multidiscipline project teams including Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Process Engineering professionals
- Support preparation of civil engineering design drawings, plans, profiles, sections, and details

I am currently Civil Engineer for Tesla at the Fremont Factory. I graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Masters of Science in Construction and Infrastructural Systems and a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. Aside from civil design, I am also interested in sustainability, especially topics like sustainable infrastructure and sustainable energy. I have always been incredibly passionate about pushing for a sustainable future, and I hope to incorporate that into my future.

I’m originally from Cambodia! Outside of school, I enjoy reading (typically fiction), training (weights, functionality, and flexibility), cooking/baking, going on foodventures (food adventures), going on hikes, and photography (resurgent interest). 
- Reading books has always been a hobby of mine. I like science-fiction, fantasy, and horror books. 
- Training is very important to me because it has taught me so much more than just getting stronger or faster. I strive to be well-rounded, but I’d like to sharpen some skills as well. It taught me the importance of consistency, patience, and planning. 
- Cooking allows me to be creative while baking humbles me because I typically have to follow a recipe step by step for it to turn out well. Plus, I'm (usually) rewarded with delicious food. 
- Going on hikes is my escape from the city to just immerse myself in nature and to reflect. Going with friends is fun, but I also enjoy going alone because it forces me to slow down and reflect.
- Finally, photography allows me to capture the beauty of nature and the art of food, which goes back to my two other hobbies! Since I'm working now, I'd like to take the time to become a better photographer.
