I love when marketing slips into storytelling.

Yesterday’s Cajun Burger video by the Wendy's India team did exactly that - introduced a character, created a moment, and let the food finish the sentence.

I commented because the team deserved it.
This afternoon I tasted the burger - and the flavour was quiet but confident.

This post is to say thank you to the creatives, the production team, the chef, and everyone who pulled this off with so much heart.

It was a human campaign, not a corporate one.

₹15,000 a month for 2,500 words a day.

Yep, that was my first salary as a writer back in 2022.

And before you laugh
yes, that was actual writing.

Not ‘let me type a prompt and get an essay in 3 seconds.’

We had to think, and write, and rewrite.

Prompt engineering was not even a phrase yet.

Was it too little money?
Of course!

Did I still show up every single day?
Absolutely!

That job didn’t make me rich
But it made me resilient

It taught me discipline, and how to push through a blank page when your mind wants to quit.

And it taught me how to prove my work when no one knew my name.

Firsts are always special (you know!)

Because they’re the version of you that decided,

“Okay… I’m going all in.”

And honestly, I’m glad I started there.

It built the writer I am today
Not the one who waits for inspiration

I went off LinkedIn for a week

No, it wasn't a strategy break or a content reset

It was ‘me’ who just wanted to disappear for a bit.

I shut work down, packed my bags, and let myself be a person instead of a deadline machine

(And it felt ridiculously good)

The vacation was a banger. The kind where you lose track of days and forget what your laptop wallpaper even looks like. 

I didn’t think about hooks, drafts, clients, nothing. 

Just lived properly (phew)

And somewhere in the middle of all that, I realised how lucky I am that my work actually allows me to take breaks. 

I don’t have to pretend to be always ON

I can log out, vanish, breathe and the world doesn’t fall apart. 

That’s a privilege and I don’t take it lightly.

Now I’m back, sunburnt, recharged, and honestly a little too energised for my own good.

If the vacation was a banger, the work that’s coming next is going to be louder.

Alright LinkedIn, I’m back.

Who said personal branding is not for you?
Wait, let me guess…

Someone who doesn’t have one.

Every time I hear ‘I don’t need a personal brand,’ it feels like someone proudly saying,

‘I don’t need Google either, I’ll just ask my neighbour.’

Here’s the truth nobody wants to admit:

So why don't you as well give them something worth seeing.

You don’t even need to be ‘interesting.’

(Hot take: most people aren’t. And they’re still posting.)

You just need to show up with a voice that sounds like you, not like a LinkedIn tutorial in human form.

Who said personal branding is not for you?

Because the internet is already talking behind your back.

I was dealing with a rough day at work last week so much so that I went emotionally drained

Trying to hold myself together, I sat alone, lost somewhere in my thoughts while the laptop was left open in front of my eyes

My husband saw me, came straight over, and asked, 'What happened?' 

I couldn't hold myself together and burst into tears. He couldn't understand what to do and called our little one saying

Come here, see, Mumma is crying

I told him not to call her as I never want her to see me at my weakest moment.

She came running and asked, 'What happened, Mumma? Why are you crying?'

I said No baby I’m not crying, my eyes are itchy today. 

My husband said no she is lying. She is seriously crying

In reply, my defensive Shivaika said something that surprised me:

No Papa, her eyes are itchy. 
Mumma is strong, and she never lies.
She’ll be better soon. 

This is her belief in me
And this is all that matters🫶

On days when I feel low,
I know these two humans will do everything to bring me back to normal

On days when I go super crazy,
They tell me to slow down and save my energy

And this is what FAMILY does

So, if you’re feeling low today, go to those who believe in you, who care for you.

The rest of the world anyway doesn't give a damn about you.

I survived working in corporate for 3 months

90 days were enough to understand

I don’t throw buzzwords or big titles around.

I show clarity in how I understand their business, and how I can fix it.

Trust is built on relevance, not on reputation.

3. You end with next steps, not maybes

Every call should close with a direction.
Follow-up, proposal, another meeting 
whatever it is.

Don’t leave it hanging, please.

You don’t sell services on calls.
You sell confidence.

Surprisingly, she doesn’t have any credentials in the headline.

I started comparing that to what 99% people write:

One hits your nervous system.

Here’s the shift she made:
