Hey, I'm Oliver! Born and raised in the Lake District.

I’m a passionate media commentator talking about Gen Z, mental health, politics and young people in business.

Back in 2020, at the age of 16, I decided the PR industry needed a shake-up. 

That's when I started Platinum Live.

Covid-19 Southport Support Group 

Director of the Covid-19 Southport Support Group, managing remotely a community network of street-by-street volunteers during the pandemic. 

Co-ordinating a mutual aid network for people affected by the lockdown in Merseyside. 

Remotely managing a network of volunteer-led WhatsApp street groups, directing help at a local level. Developing connections with stakeholders and organisations such as foodbanks, local councillors, and community resources.

Recent experience in coordinating a community response, managing volunteers during a crisis, delivering a service, keeping communications fresh and relevant, and motivating a remote team.

Created 60+ micro street teams, offering practical help to shielding and vulnerable people in addition to managing an online group of over 5,000 members.

Managed the public relations and social media team at Rights and Humanity charity.

Co-ordinated the press & PR department, set-up media interviews, edited website content, organised promotional materials and created a successful social media team. Revamped the social media presence (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) and increased the online footprint. Managed social media accounts and created daily social media postings.

Implemented communications and marketing plans. Managed a core team of interns and volunteers delivering events, lectures and human rights training in Liverpool. Promoted the organisation in local media and made strong local connections.

Coordinating a cross-European team of broadcast departments in London, Belgium, Germany and Sweden, to promote the newly formed TV station.

Created a supporters network, represented the channel at seminars and conferences, lobbied MPs and MEPS to support the network when we had political interference, and hosted open days to promote our station.
