The company was opening a new ecommerce business and I was recruited to lead the design and development of the website, and manage the day-to-day operations. From concept to completion, the site was successfully launched within seven months, showcasing over 5000 products, and continued to grow.

• Researched targeted keywords on Google Search Console to build the digital marketing campaign.
• Produced an budgeted Google Ads program that increased website traffic and sales.
• Regularly reviewed Google Analytics KPIs to ensure a digital marketing positive ROI.
• Created a backlink network with product suppliers and other relevant third-parties
• Created successful email marketing campaigns to a targeted subscriber base from the CRM.

I was promoted to Ecommerce Sales Manager to better control the online sales process, to speed-up logistics, and to improve the customer experience. The result was a decreased order fulfillment time from 2-3 days to same-day shipping.

• Increased accuracy and reduced data entry time by auto-importing customer and order data.
• Improved order picking efficiency by encouraging sales floor staff to help during slower hours.
• Decreased shipping errors by auto-importing customer order info from the CRM to ShipStation.

• Designed and launched targeted email and social media marketing campaigns
• Helped generate a third-party backlink network, producing a strong authoritative SEO result

With a few decades of experience in the Marketing  industry, I've worn a lot of different hats. Ecommerce  and Digital Marketing have always been the best fit.

It's such an analytical business when reading through the data, discovering the who, what, where and why customers arrived onto your website, and how they interacted it. It's also creative when researching and developing SEO and digital marketing campaigns to encourage customers to visit the online business and/or brick & mortar locations. If the plan requires an update or improvement, being able to read the data and tweak the campaign on-the-fly for improved results is mad-scientist stuff.

I'm always researching new marketing and technology trends, and jumping into the deep-end of the pool to figure them out. If they show a potential benefit to the company, I may recommend using the new product or channel. I don't recommend emerging technology simply for technology's sake, or run towards any new marketing channels because they are trendy. It has to make sense for the company's target market and their ROI.

As a leader, I keep it simple. Lead by example, mentor when needed, and treat people with the same respect as I would prefer to be treated myself. Egos are checked at the door.

When not up to my elbows in Ecommerce , SEO and/or Digital Marketing, I can usually be found hiking the trails of the Greater Vancouver BC region. I'm a hardcore Canucks fan, and an unapologetic coffee snob. Life is too short for a bad cup of coffee.
