The therapy for this indication is to replace the faulty REP1 gene in the eye with a functioning copy in an AAV vector. Ipsen acquired Syntaxin in July 2013 and the site continues as Ipsen's centre for toxin engineering, complementing well the Ipsen expertise in toxin biology. I left Syntaxin with the acquisition and now work through Think10 as I discuss new opportunities.
