Hey, I’m Oshri Cohen — Fractional CTO turned full-time tech whisperer.

I’ve spent the last 25 years immersed in engineering, and the last 15 leading brilliant (and sometimes delightfully chaotic) teams as a technical executive. From scrappy startups in healthtech and martech to 350-person research firms and Series C rocket ships, I’ve done it all: scaled orgs, refactored disasters, rescued investor confidence, and shipped things that didn’t catch fire on launch day. Wins all around.

30 companies in 4 years as a Fractional CTO? Yep. That’s not a typo. I embedded myself in each like a method actor in a startup biopic, just without the Oscar, though I’ve definitely made acceptance speeches to my dog. I solved mission-critical problems, rearchitected platforms, hired and levelled up teams, and created product strategies that actually made sense. And money.

At my core, I’m a systems thinker. Whether I’m rebuilding a microservices architecture, designing OKR cascades across dev teams, or explaining to a founder why their dev team is two PRs away from mutiny, I bring clarity, structure, and technical depth without the buzzword bingo.

Tech Stack? I could rattle off a list as long as your LinkedIn scroll: Python, Golang, React, gRPC, Kubernetes, Postgres, DDD, CQRS, EKS, Redis, you name it. But the truth is, I treat tech like tools, not religion. What matters more is why we’re building something and who we’re building it for. And how fast can we deploy without breaking production? (Or spirits.)

Snowfall

Managing, facilitating and implementing all technical and architecural decisions and directions.

Managing competence matrix within organisation (tech skills and project/product knowledge and experience).
Leading recruitment of software developers and operations engineers, including technical evaluation.
Evaluating and improving software development best practices across the organisation.
Guiding and providing input to all strategic as well as technical planning for entire software projects.
Doing appraisals, 1 on 1 meetings, identifying training needs, motivating and performance managing the team.
Facilitating smooth delivery of all projects, enhancements and support delivered by the team.
Facilitating technology and methodology decision making throughout the team, including
standardisation of system architecture, reusable code base development, versions of
software tools, best practices, source control and deployment processes.

Chief Technology Officer

In charge of Snowfall operations in Balkan region (in total 4 offices in Croatia and Bosnia). Did recruitment of employees (mostly engineers, incl. leading technical interviews), onboarding, coaching, evaluation and retention activities. Set up and followed up various policies and procedures to accompany such growth.

Regional COO

Omega Software

Software development for clients in Croatian public sector using Microsoft software stack and toolchain (Visual Studio, .NET, SQL Server etc.), also in-house DSL backend platform Rhetos (http://www.rhetos.org/). Used WCF (SOAP services) and Workflow for enterprise integrations. Did some legacy system maintenance in VB6.

Software Developer

In charge of UltiCAD business unit. Did sales planning, directed marketing and sales efforts, prioritized sales pipeline and executed sales process (prospecting, approaching, needs assessment etc.). Planned and developed software releases. Did business analysis for and led development of custom implementation projects. Coordinated and performed user support.

Project Manager

Implemented business processes in chipboard furniture industry using in-house developed DSL for UltiCAD (3D visualisation, sales and manufacturing software system).

Junior Software Developer

UltiTech

Developed PC software using Microsoft and Borland tools (Visual C++, Visual Basic, C++ Builder).
