Hey, I’m Oshri Cohen — Fractional CTO turned full-time tech whisperer.

I’ve spent the last 25 years immersed in engineering, and the last 15 leading brilliant (and sometimes delightfully chaotic) teams as a technical executive. From scrappy startups in healthtech and martech to 350-person research firms and Series C rocket ships, I’ve done it all: scaled orgs, refactored disasters, rescued investor confidence, and shipped things that didn’t catch fire on launch day. Wins all around.

30 companies in 4 years as a Fractional CTO? Yep. That’s not a typo. I embedded myself in each like a method actor in a startup biopic, just without the Oscar, though I’ve definitely made acceptance speeches to my dog. I solved mission-critical problems, rearchitected platforms, hired and levelled up teams, and created product strategies that actually made sense. And money.

At my core, I’m a systems thinker. Whether I’m rebuilding a microservices architecture, designing OKR cascades across dev teams, or explaining to a founder why their dev team is two PRs away from mutiny, I bring clarity, structure, and technical depth without the buzzword bingo.

Tech Stack? I could rattle off a list as long as your LinkedIn scroll: Python, Golang, React, gRPC, Kubernetes, Postgres, DDD, CQRS, EKS, Redis, you name it. But the truth is, I treat tech like tools, not religion. What matters more is why we’re building something and who we’re building it for. And how fast can we deploy without breaking production? (Or spirits.)

I'm the founder of Write3BooksIn24Hours.com, and I recently reached out to a writers conference about becoming a sponsor. They kindly declined, and included this thoughtful note:

"We celebrate technology and its ability to make us more effective at our work, but we will not allow it to replace the important work that creatives do to make our minds and hearts richer."

The concerns are real and valid.

When I hear writers worry about AI, I don't dismiss those feelings. This isn't like spell-check or word processors. The technology is genuinely more capable, and that capability raises honest questions about what it means to create, to be an author, to pour yourself into a page.

Those questions deserve to be taken seriously.

I've arrived at a conviction that might surprise some: AI cannot replace the human mind, the human heart, or the human voice. It can only shorten the distance between inspiration and expression.

Tools don't create meaning. People do.

AI can help with structure, momentum, and the mechanical work of drafting. It can reduce the friction of getting words onto a page. But it cannot live a life. It cannot yearn or grieve or translate childhood wonder into metaphor. The human interior world—the part that makes stories matter—remains untouchable.
