As the company's founder, I developed the business concept, raised capital, recruited and empowered a young passionate team, validated the product / market fit, led the digital platform design (i.e. data model, workflows, and UX), and the implementation of leading-edge data analytics and digital marketing solutions. Exited the company in June 2018 following acquisition.

A group within management consulting firm McKinsey & Co., McKinsey Digital Solutions mission is to develop new digital platforms and service offerings leveraging proprietary data, advanced analytics, web-based software delivery platforms, and ongoing part-time expert consultant support to better serve both large corporate clients and mid-size companies. I helped firm leaders in the telecoms and financial services practices complete a portfolio review and assessment of early stage initiatives and conceptual ideas aimed at identifying services ready for scale-up and increased investments.

Piaggio Group Americas, Inc.

Global manufacturer of high-end motor scooters and motorcycles with a portfolio of several brands (i.e. Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, etc.) including the world famous brand of Vespa motor scooters. Major accomplishments include completing a successful turnaround and $1.5B IPO, resulting in a 2.5x cash-on-cash return for investors at IPO price and an additional 50%+ share price increase in the 12 months following the IPO. Main areas of personal contribution included  developing the global product strategy for the scooter business unit, leading the global launch of the MP3 product line (the first motor scooter with 2 wheels in the front), leading the re-organization and development of sales and operations in the Americas region that resulted in a 3x revenue increase over a four-year period, and starting sales and marketing activities in the Vietnamese market.

Led introduction and development of one of the firm's largest client accounts, supported initial client development efforts after opening of new satellite office in Tel Aviv, made a few key contributions to the development of the firm's knowledge capital. Served several global clients operating primarily in the telecoms, private equity, and retail banking industries on matters related to corporate strategy & finance, revenue growth, organization and operational effectiveness. Selected examples of major projects include: helping private equity and corporate clients evaluate potential investments in distressed telecom assets; helping a large telco grow its Internet access business unit and ultimately merge it with an Internet media company; leading the post-merger integration of two mid-sized commercial banks (including branch networks, main corporate functions, and back-office operations); helping a large retail bank design and launch a new product line of payment cards and the related sales programs.

Joined as a system integration consultant, in 1990 together with three other consultants started the Italian Office Strategic Services Practice that by 1996 had about 70 consultants, played a key role in the development of a major client. Served clients in the financial services and telecoms industries on matters of business process re-engineering, operational effectiveness, IT cost effectiveness, corporate carve-out and IPO, distribution and customer service strategies, software development. Selected examples of major projects include: helping a large telco with the carve-out and IPO of its wireless business unit (the first such transaction in Europe); helping a wireless telco design and implement new distribution and customer service strategies; helping a commercial bank to optimize its IT investments; helping a large credit card processor to design and implement an activity-based costing system to support the pricing of its new configurable service offering.
