When not acting as the brain for PixiTAB we license the PixiCloud software platform to companies looking to capture 1st party user data at events and venues through photo experiences, forms, surveys, and other experiential marketing activities.

Startup Soirée

Startup Soiree was a grassroots entrepreneurial community and event series dedicated to fostering meaningful connections among Baltimore’s founders, creatives, and business leaders. As Co-Founder, I helped create a space where entrepreneurs could engage in candid, no-pitch conversations, exchange insights, and build lasting relationships.

Key initiatives included:

---> Hosting monthly fireside chat events featuring prominent Baltimore entrepreneurs in unique, intimate settings.
---> Developing community-driven content, including a podcast and blog, to share startup stories and insights.
---> Strengthening Baltimore’s startup ecosystem by providing a platform for founders to connect, learn, and grow.

Startup Soiree played a pivotal role in shaping Baltimore’s startup culture, and its legacy lives on in the connections and collaborations it sparked.

Bonsai Fine Arts

Assist museums, galleries and private collectors in caring for their valuable artworks during transit and installation. Lead small focused teams on installations ranging from small sculptural pieces in private galleries to full scale multi-level commercial art installations.

Worked closely with Gallery Preparator to develop the physical museum space as it pertains to incoming exhibitions, hung and installed traveling exhibitions, took part in the registration, crate building and technical manuals for the traveling exhibition "For All The World to See."

Provided primary interfacing to museum visitors and patrons. Oversaw Museum social media program. Provided technical and clerical support to higher museum staff.

When I exited my first tech start-up in 2018 I was exhausted. 

I had a healthy diet & strong exercise regime. 
But I had neglected my sleep, rest & recovery. 
It’s the foundation of health that we don't focus on. 

I started exploring the research around Circadian Rhythms, which are these deep biological processes that run our body on a 24-hour clock. A fundamental science that we are only just becoming aware of. 

I quickly realised that circadian rhythms are going to shape the health & wellness conversation over the next few decades. 

But currently, the market is full of gimmicky, passive products, that overwhelm people with data making them nervous about their sleep. Or ancient products such as bedding & mattresses which haven’t been innovated in over 50 years. 

I wanted to change this. 

So brought together an A-team of cutting-edge AI technologists, Oxford University scientists, leading product designers, hotel architects and software engineers. We interrogated every single mattress technology as the first step in building the world’s first Circadian Fitness company. 

By mixing a robust understanding of our psychology & deep biology with hard science and premium quality products we are revolutionising the sleep industry. 


Owl + Lark’s journey so far: 

- Won the Innovate UK Smart grant in 2023. 
- Sold over £1mil of products since inception. 
- On track to do £1mil in revenue this year.
- Extensive product pipeline in development. 
- Partnered with a leading circadian Scientific Advisory Board 
- Development of hotel brand Cabin.

It’s no secret that many investors and startups avoid hardware. 

Long cycles, complex supply chains, upfront capital… the usual suspects.

But we love it.

Because physical products are responsible for so much of our life experience and can enact powerful change in the lives of our customers. 

When we interrogated our problem (degraded circadian rhythms) it became clear that an app would be the easiest way to market, the easiest path to investment, but wouldn't solve our customers' problem. (see https://aryal.ai/) 

Now that we're near launch, we believe more than ever in the physicality of what we're building, and it helps that it's a growing moat in an age of AI coding.
