𝟭. 𝗣𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀:
Every bad quarter I’ve had… came from a bad pipeline the quarter before. Fill it early. Fill it often.

𝟮. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁:
Top performers make 10 more calls, send 5 more emails, and don’t skip steps, especially when no one’s watching.

𝟯. 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀. 𝗦𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹:
The ones who say it doesn’t? Usually haven’t mastered either.

𝟰. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗶𝗰𝘀:
Crushing 200% one quarter and 30% the next isn’t impressive. Being boring and reliable is.

𝟱. 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆:
Even great reps struggle if the territory is trash, the comp plan is broken, or there’s no product-market fit.

If there’s no problem to solve, there’s no reason to buy.

Here're 12 raw facts I learned the hard way.

𝟭. 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹:
Activity compounds. If the top isn’t full, nothing falls out the bottom.

𝟮. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺:
Your champion, notes, and business case must sell without you.

𝟯. 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴:
Say “no” faster so you can find real “yes” faster.

𝟰. 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲:
Stop waiting. Dial. Conversations beat sequences.

𝟱. 𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁:
Aim for consistent, not flawless. Ship the call, then iterate.

𝟲. 𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱:
Rejection = reps. Reps = skill. Skill = results.

𝟳. 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗹𝘂𝗰𝗸:
Show up early, follow up late, be findable and helpful. Luck notices.

𝟴. 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀:
Most reps quit at 2–3 touches. Be the one who gets to 10+ professionally.

𝟵. 𝗣𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀:
Thin pipeline makes you needy. Needy sellers make bad decisions.

𝟭𝟬. 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗾𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗮:
Emotions under control > rollercoaster selling.

𝟭𝟭. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀:
Being liked is good. But being trusted as someone who pushes their thinking is better.

𝟭𝟮. 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀:
Next steps set on the call. Recaps out same day. Momentum is goated.

After a decade, one truth stands out:

If it doesn’t have a clear path to signature, it’s out. I’d rather chase 5 real deals than 15 “maybes.”

𝟮. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺:
Every call ends with a next step booked live. No “I’ll follow up next week.”

𝟯. 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀:
No more guessing who owes what.

What moved forward? What’s stuck? What can close this month? Brutal honesty beats blind optimism.

𝟳. 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿-𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
Recaps, timelines, and follow-ups, make it easy for them to sell internally when I’m not in the room.

𝟴. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆:
By mid-December, buyers vanish. I’m pushing everything early so I’m not chasing ghosts at year-end.

Q4 is about a lil luck with discipline, clarity, and control.
