After 10 years shooting content for global brands, I noticed something STRANGE happening in the content world..

Founded in 2023, Syncdesk is a Copenhagen-based startup that empowers hotels to exceed guest expectations by streamlining daily operational communication.

At the core of our offering is an efficient way to collect, structure, and share information across different shifts and departments, ensuring complete alignment.

Our mission is to empower hotel teams with a user-friendly platform that optimizes operational communication and information management. This enables managers to focus on leadership while empowering front-line employees to deliver exceptional service and experiences to guests.

- Attending the HIT program (Hub for tourism and innovation)

In spring 2022, we attended the HIT program with Syncdesk, hosted by Wonderful Copenhagen. During HIT, we gained valuable tools, expanded our network among other tourism startups, and adopted the lean startup methodology.

- Attending AKA Start-up Growth Incubator

From September 2022 to December 2023, we participated in the AKA Startup Growth Incubator, conveniently located next to Vesterport station. This allowed us to work alongside like-minded entrepreneurs and learn from each other.

- Attending Beyond Beta

As one of 10 selected finalists, we completed the Beyond Beta program in June 2023. This program, powered by Accelerace, is designed to guide more mature startups based on the experiences of over 190 Danish startups across four batches.

To support the development of Syncdesk and gain a deeper understanding of the hospitality industry, as well as onsite hotel operations, I took on a job as a receptionist at the third-largest hotel in Denmark, Wakeup Copenhagen Borgergade, which has 770 rooms.

On days with more than 450 check-ins, I quickly experienced the importance of having a seamless communication flow for daily operational information and tasks at the reception.

My time working at Wakeup Borgergade resulted in valuable insights into how the industry works and what it takes to operate a hotel during peak hours. These learnings played a vital role in gaining original insights, enabling me to feel the problems we're solving firsthand and providing new perspectives on how the solution should be developed.

Savsmuld Apparel

I started Savsmuld Apparel in my second year of high school, where I designed, imported, and distributed sustainable clothing, resulting in a turnover exceeding 100,000 DKK. Unfortunately, material prices and shipping rates increased when Covid hit, weakening the business case. 

Consequently, I chose to close the business. 

Through starting a clothing brand, I have learned to collaborate with international stakeholders, plan logistics from Asia, and distribute products in a red-ocean market through digital channels.

In many hotels, the communication flow relies on manual processes supported by error-prone tools, such as post-it notes and long email threads, with information typically stored separately in each department.

This results in inefficient workflows and important information being lost, directly impacting the bottom line through wasted time and unnecessary guest turnover.

Syncdesk is designed to increase efficiency and guest retention while simplifying the workday for employees working in operations: receptionists, booking coordinators, waiters, cleaning staff, etc.

We're providing the essentials to ensure a smoothly run property by offering a user-friendly communication platform that facilitates seamless information sharing across departments.

Our goal is to ensure that information is easily accessible to the right employee at the right time. 🤝
